Firstly, the location is excellent, and there is not a hotel for miles around under $200 per night, however, this hotel is tired, run down, and frankly not worth the price we paid.
Breakfast was OK, staff were very helpful, but the rooms are in very poor shape, bed uncomfortable, and the pillows were probably the worst Ive slept on in a long time at a hotel.
If you must stay in this area and dont want to pay a massive price, its just OK, just be aware what your getting. Otherwise Id recommend you stay somewhere else until this place is refurbished.

We stayed at this hotel for a triathlon in the area. I liked the location (we were able to walk the .2 mile to the seaside park and then down a lovely series of pathways to the beach and tide pools to see the sunset). The front desk clerk was friendly and prompt. Our room had a filtered view of the ocean which was great. We weren't going to be in the room much but it was still nice. There were lots of windows and the room was large. Our room had two double beds, a cute table with four chairs, a TV, small fridge and microwave. The bathroom was pretty retro-cool. The shower stall was huge and done in red square tile. You had to step up and step down into the shower. The shower was set up to be used as a bathtub if you wanted but it would have been a large area to fill up and not very comfortable. Still, the shower was great. The beds were very comfortable for sleeping. However, my husband and I both nailed our ankles on these odd metal poles that stuck out from one side of the bed, near the foot area. I mean nailed our ankles. To protect our daughter and us from further injury, I put paper cups over the poles and that prevented further incidents. This is a strange thing to mention but I liked the way the room key worked. All you had to do was waive the key in front of the lock for it to flash green and then open the door. No more trying to figure out which way to stick the key in. In the morning, they had cereal, bagels and muffins, a few juices and fruit for breakfast. That was a nice surprise. The location and room layout etc. were 4 stars - the metal poles sticking out of the bed were 2 stars and dangerous. Still, I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here because the Montage across the street was 8x more expensive. Location is great and staff is friendly and courteous. Sadly, the rooms are very tired. The electrical outlets in my room were so old that anything you plugged into them literally fell out with just the weight of the plug. The bathroom window didn't close all the way, so the room was noisy and cold at night. The toilet bowl (old round style, not elongated) was chipped and rusty. I could go on. I would have a hard time staying here again.
