My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn for one night during Pageant of the Masters. The hotel is conveniently located to the beach, shops, and a grocery store. In addition, the trolley stops close by and is just a short trip to Broadway. The room was comfortable and the newly, renovated shower was very nice. All in all, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was a very relaxing stay.

My boyfriend brought me here with our dog to get away for the weekend. I was impressed at the cleanliness of the grounds, politeness of the staff and the location. The ocean is just across the street and down the hill!! There are wonderful little places to eat everywhere and a grocery store right across the street. Our room was clean, quiet had updated decor and access to the courtyard was available only to those who had hotel keys. The staff was professional and tried to be as quiet as they could while they maintained the grounds. I would highly recommend this hotel. It's not everyday that one can stay at a nice hotel that accepts pets, this Holiday Inn is one of those.

The Holiday In lived up to the high ratings given on Trip Advisor. It was very clean and located in the heart of Laguna Beach. The courtyard and pool area were beautiful. Staff was helpful. We would definately book at this location again!

We agree with the reviews previously written about this hotel. It is located right on Pacific Coast Highway (but not on the beach side so it is half the price of being on the ocean). The rooms were standard size, but the bathroom had been recently remodeled, and the carpet and drapes were new. The courtyard (with a pool) was in full bloom...lots of trailing graniums, palms and other tropical plants. Though the rooms overlooked the pool, it was never noisy, and the soundproofing between the rooms was good. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and they provided coffee in the lobby in the AM as well as popcorn and lemonade in the afternoon. The restaurant downstairs serves breakfast, and you can eat it outdoors on the patio if you like. It is a 15 minute walk to the heart of town and about 25 minutes to the Laguna Art Festival. The city provides free shuttles to all of the important venues in the summer...just in case walking is a problem. And since it is against the law to block access to the coast in CA, it is easy to cross the street and find the beach by walking in between the buildings. A great find in our book!

The hotel was very charming and clean. However we stayed on one of the outer perimeter rooms that is supposed to have a view of the ocean. I could see a little bit of the ocean peeking out in between two buildings on the oceanside of the street. The outer room balconies are shared, so don't leave your balcony door open/unlocked unless you're sitting out there. Also, even though we were on the second floor, our room was right off of the main street and the morning traffic was TERRIBLE. Very noisy in the morning and especially between 6:30-8am when the garbage trucks come and empty along the street. Really loud even with the windows closed and AC on. We wanted to get a nice air flow going with the windows open and the smell of the ocean, but if you want to sleep in past 630 forget about it.

This hotel was neither well-appointed nor well-staffed and was FAR overpriced. For the price of nearly $200 per night, one wouldn't expect that the cleaning services carts would live outside of their room day-and-night and that the restaurant/bar wouldn't be the haunt of barely 21-year-olds who scream and vomit (YES!) in the booths.

And getting in-and-out of our room was a joke, requiring a long walk through the entire establishment, up and down stairs. No thanks, we'll stay anywhere but here next time.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel. From the very first phone call I was impressed. Josette answered all of my questions and offered helpful suggestions. I was traveling with my sister who has mobility issues/needs. Although this hotel is not beachfront, it makes up for that with charm and hospitality. The marble lobby is inviting and lovely, with comfy seating, a fireplace and free popcorn available. There is a restaurant on site, however we did not visit it during our stay. Our room was delightfully comfortable, with lots of cushy pillows for each bed and an awesome walk in marble shower - my sister was in absolute heaven with that!
There is a nice pool, with plenty of loungers and chairs around. Each lounger had a towel rolled and placed neatly at the foot. Additionally there were several tables and chairs around and in the vicinity of the pool. Loads of flowers, ferns, tropical plants and wrought iron gives this hotel a lovely Mexican villa appearance and atmosphere.
Located on PCH, the beach is immediately across the street, with the main beach of Laguna just three short blocks away. For those who may have mobility or handicap issues, I would suggest the main beach as across the street will require several steps down to the shore - steps meaning stair steps.
I travel quite a good deal, and I must say this was one of the nicest hotels I have had the pleasure to stay at for the price. Superb value indeed!
