I have been going to The Snooty Fox for about twenty years. The portions are huge, the prices are good, and the food tastes home made, like mom would make. I've never had a bad meal here. Their Eggs Florentine can't be beat! And their "those potatoes," a mix of hash browns, onions and bell peppers are excellent, especially when ordered "crispy."

Shhhh... Don't tell anyone, but this is the best breakfast spot. Not one for dieters, but one for those craving hearty filling breakfast. From their biscuits and gravy, to their those potatoes, and everything else... Everyone needs to have this!

We have been going to this restaurant for several years, breakfast and lunch. Sometimes several times of the week so you would say we are definitely regulars, same waitress, today was a totally different scene. The restaurant was not busy only a few tables against the wall and two other tables with customers. We were squeezed into a small table pinned between a bench at the entrance and another chair making it even tighter. We could barely squeeze in. Things were different we were not greeted in the manner we have always been greeted by the usual waitress we have always had which is also why we usually go to this restaurant is we have always been treated well by this waitress and have always tipped her nicely ay least so we have thought. Today se just pointed to the table which had only one menu on it we could see why really only one person could squeeze in there. The bus boy brought our usual coffee and ice tea. The waitress was a little slow and when she took our order and left. She did not come back to the table once which is very unusual. Another waitress brought the breakfast. The breakfast did not taste as good as usual but we ate a little bit of it. The normal waitress tat took the order never ever came to refill coffee or tea which normally is done several times by this individual without even asking. Today there was nothing. After we ate a few bites with disgust we decided that was it, the appetite went away. Husband went up to pay the check which we had not received at hat time the bus boy came over o clear the dishes which wife said to leave them she wanted the waitress to notice that most of the food was still on the plates. She took the check and never returned to the table. At which time we got up and left and went to Starbuchs to get coffee after we had already paid for breakfast at another place. As long as we have been going here and mostly the same waitress we will not return to this restaurant. They were not even half filled and had three waitresses and we have no idea for the treatment. This was very shocking to us. This waitress always greets you with a hug or nice hello some good conversation but today not even service. Very shocking and we cannot return after all these years. We go there lots of times just because of her kindness when we could just as easy go somewhere else. We are sure the owner does not know this as he has been very nice to us over the years. Maybe this is the way to get the word out. We will miss the place but Mimi's is just down the street maybe a little more expensive but well worth it if we want to go out and enjoy coffee and read our paper. This waitress knows we like to read our paper with our coffee and our paper had to be laid on the floor no place else to put it can't view it from underneath the table.

My wife picked this place as an alternative to Polly's, our usual breakfast place when in south Orange County. It will be a one-time diversion.

The restaurant is in a corner of a strip mall. While it's name would suggest a décor of hunt scenes, you are met with an automotive theme instead. Maybe the fox was roadkill. Inexpensive furniture packed too close together completes the scene.

Food was very mediocre. Service was what you would expect from a greasy spoon diner. Price ($26 for two, tip included) was quite high for what you get. Polly's, a half mile or so away on Moulton, is a much better choice.

The Snooty Fox is great for a traditional, American, greasy spoon breakfast. Don't come here expecting a champagne brunch and small portions. Bring your appetite for french toast, pancakes, biscuits and hash browns. The service is always fast and friendly, the wait is not usually more than 20 minutes even on a weekend (for a party of two). The prices are very reasonable, our average check without drinks is $18.00.
We eat here at least 2x per month and look forward to it.
