Two dots is generous based on the kind of treatment we received tonight. We have been Tony's happy customers for several years including when he was in Aliso Viejo/Laguna Niguel area up the way from the one and only half emply restaurant he has now.. We had not been for awhile due to reduction in employment, so finally when things were improving we wanted to treat ourselves to our favorite martinis which this time were barely shaken if at all, and stayed cold for 2 minutes. Until tonight, we have never had a martini here that we didn't love .
On top of it, our waiter who took forever to even attend us didn't check up on us either to see if we were happy because we would have complained about the martini then When he did come around. we did complain about the martinis and the waiter apologized, asked if we wanted dessert, which we thought was gratis for our terrible martinis or we would not have ordered it. He charged us for them. We spoke to the owner/chef who had always been pleasant until tonight, and he was rude to us denying the possibility of his bartenders not shaking the martini well enough to make it cold. . Needless to say, we were very disappointed in his attitude. We ended up paying for the mediocre dessert, and the waiter got the tip he deserved.
Sorry, Tony, but you made two formerly happy customers very unhappy with your lousy attitude, warm martinis, ever increased prices and your smaller portions, . After several years of being your customers, we won't be back. Was your stingy attitude worth it? Take a look around your restaurant on a Friday night and notice how empty it is. We did and it made us wonder how a once good chef could go wrong.
