Stayed here for Memorial weekend and I must say the place was stunning. We had 12 people including kids and very comfortable but any more would be tight. The adults hung around on the main area (main floor) and the kids hung around in the basement. This setup and accommodations allowed the adults to have a nice conversation while kids watched TV and played on the XBOX. We were a bit worried of the chaos but because of the layout, we didn't hear a thing from our kids.
The patio was well furnished and because the weather was nice, allowed us to use it as another hang out for the adults and a second dining area. It had two large patio umbrellas so you get a lot of shade. The grass turf added an extra nice touch.
The bedrooms were cozy and roomy. My mom and aunt stayed in one room, the kids slept in the basement, cousin stayed in another room and we stayed in the master. Really impressed with the design and made us feel like we were in a nice rustic hotel.
The kitchen was nicely done with stainless steel appliances. It had a wooden island (I want one of those) which made it feel rustic yet modern.
Apparently in Lake Arrowhead (private beach area) you need a pass to get to the lakes which this cabin has. We enjoyed both Lake Arrowhead and another smaller lake. Forgot the name of the smaller lake but owner had a folder with things to do and has the name and directions. I enjoyed the smaller lake better since it wasn't crowded and no tourists. I think there may have been 6 other people there. We fished in the smaller lake and my son caught a cat fish. At Lake Arrowhead there are these private beaches (you need the permit to get here) where you can swim and raft…we hit that up too and it was very nice but a bit crowded.
One small caution for those taking multiple vehicles to the cabin…we had two mini vans and one truck and was a tight fit but it fit. I was told we can park on the street as well but since our cars fit in the driveway it was no problem.
All in all, great place and would definitely go again…this place is fantastic. I enjoyed the décor and ammenties…we even played poker (yup this place has a poker table). Also, if you're not familiar with Lake Arrowhead and things to do, there's a folder at the cabin with everything…this was cool.
we wanted a quick weekend getaway and this quaint and charming arrowhead cabin was the perfect place to head to. it only took us a little over an hour to get to and once there, we found the cabin quite comfortable, well decorated and stocked and roomy for a family of five. the kids could spend time playing card and video games down in the basement area while the adults could lounge upstairs or on the deck taking in the fresh mountain air. it is nestled in a quiet residential area in arrowhead and close to many of lake arrowhead's attractions. our short little getaway to serenity cabin provided the relaxation and rest we so desperately needed from a busy week in the suburbs!
We just got back from a joint anniversary celebration at this wonderful Arrowhead cabin, and we enjoyed every minute of our weekend getaway!
We absolutely loved relaxing and sipping coffee on the deck. My husband enjoyed it so much that he napped out there! Lol! We put the umbrellas up for those who liked the shade, but I preferred basking in the sun and soaking in the rays.
A fully stocked and high end kitchen is a MUST for me, and I absolutely loved this kitchen! They has this one-of-a-kind butchers block that added such unique charm! We loved prepping and munching on delicious cheese and charcuterie platters.
The owners were sooooo helpful with suggestions, directions, and tips on where to eat and what to do! We visited antique and furniture shops where I found my new favorite candle scent, we gobbled down more than we should have at Loueddies Pizza, we explored the private lakes, beaches, and hiking trails, and ended our trip with a romantic dinner at Hortencia's. Go at sunset and the view will be absolutely breathtaking!
The cabin felt so warm, welcoming and cozy, even though it was very roomy. It was more than enough room for us (two couples), and we plan on returning with our families!
The hubby and I stayed here this past weekend with another couple and their two kids. We had a great time. I would describe the place as spacious but cozy. There are three levels to the home. The bottom floor is like a large bonus room with a nice big screen TV and poker table, and tri-level bunk bed for the kids! The second/main floor has a nice living room with huge windows and nice deck with bbq, the kitchen and dining, and a bedroom and bathroom. The third floor has two bedrooms and another bathroom.
The adults found ourselves mostly relaxing on the main floor while the kids romped around the bottom floor. We all liked it because it was very clean and well maintained. It's a good size for 2-3 couples and their families. The location is relatively secluded but close to everything, including the main village. The owner was very nice and responsive. We plan to stay here this summer too.
