This is my 2nd stay through Grant (the owner of Arrowhead Retreats) and it was definitely a pleasure. We had a large group going -- Grant was very accommodating, responsive, and helpful in helping us pick out the best locations for our needs. We got pretty much everything worked out over email, which is nice because I could plan a trip for a large group without committing a lot of time to phone calls and unnecessary logistical issues that other property managers tend to cause.
The stays both times were extremely hassle free - keyless entry, very clean and well maintained properties, and always lots to do on and off the property including backyard games/activities and indoor entertainment (speakers, TV, table games, etc.). Your group will not get bored, in fact during both stays, many people in my group chose to spend most of their day relaxing at the house. The house also includes a guide to local hikes, one of which we very much enjoyed (Deep Creek), and a pass to the lake.
In particular with the Creekside Lodge, my group played some bocce ball in the backyard and also played pool indoors. We really liked how spacious the house was and how it was central to the Arrowhead shops / hiking but also the highway to Big Bear.
The Lake Arrowhead area is a nice, peaceful escape from the chaos of LA County. I loved staying at this house and breathing it all in before retreating back into the smog below...
Highly recommend Grand & Judy Dunning + Arrowhead Retreats! (And no, I was not incentivized to leave this review, I really did have a great experience and offered to write it)
My aunt and I arrived at this home in October for a 4 night stay. It was prior to my wedding and I needed a place to relax and tie up the wedding prep and also provide a place to stay for a few of our wedding party and family. I love the mountains and I love Lake Arrowhead-thats why we got married up here! This home is very unique in its design, the bedrooms are spread amongst 3 floors with 2 being on the main level, 2 on the level below, and 1 on the lowest level- which had at least 5 sets of bunk beds. This home would provide ample amount of sleeping room if that were needed, although the main dining/entertainment area would be sort of small- BUT, there is lots of space amongst all 3 floors. Parking is limited, but I believe the owners own the property next door, so they allowed us to park extra cars in front of it. We did have an issue with the heater on the 1st night, we were freezing, but I think I had not set the thermostat correctly. I emailed the owner (in the middle of the night) and heard back by morning AND he had his maintenance man bring us portable heater, extra blankets, and checked out the thermostat. Excellent customer service! We were nice and toasty for the remainder of the trip. We would love to stay here again.

My three grown children, their spouses, and my six young grandchildren absolutely loved staying in this warm and family friendly cabin nestled within the Crest Park area. The young ones were having so much fun they didn't want to leave "their house." Arrowhead Village is a short trip away for great food and shopping experiences. The safe area provided quiet neighborhood "hikes" with opportunities to explore and observe nature. We would definitely recommend staying at the Swiss Chalet for your next family reunion. We can't wait to come back in the future!
