The Wildflower Cabin was the perfect place for my R&R birthday retreat. It’s nearby the roads for easy access, and yet hidden amongst the pines and up on the Mountainside.
The photos do it justice. The Wildflower Cabin is a single-storey unit with a reading/napping loft above the Kitchen. Quaint and comfy would best describe the cabin. It had the right amount of hominess, making it feel like your own.
You get this impression by the prior guest leaving behinds books, DVDs, and food amenities for arrival. It’s that type of experience, that you want to share for the next cabin guest. Like your own private club.
Minutes away from the Lake Arrowhead village, grocery shops, restaurants and shops, make this location so ideal. It’s not cramped into the Village, but secluded on a Mountainside with a vista of the valley below.
Even the neighbors would say “hi” to us as they walked or drove by.
We dined in most of the time, and picked-up food at Stater Brothers for grilling. We would recommend Jensen’s in Blue Jay for prepackaged dishes. Luckily, we used the fireplace before the end of the fire season.
The single bathroom is a good size, which doubles as the Laundry room. Master Bedroom has everything with the exception of a TV, and honestly you shouldn’t need it. The bed was wonderful as well as the linens. The Kitchen is a galley-style one with the dining table across the way.
My husband and I plus our terrier named Bernie truly enjoyed ourselves. It was the perfect getaway from the busy city life. Lastly, one shout-out to Jolene for promptly replying to each email. The Clarke family definitely knows hospitality.
We will return again!
