Eveny once in a while you stop when travelling, seeking only a sandwich and coffee and wind up coming away with far more than that. You arrive a stranger and leave having made new friends, you arrive hungry and leave well satisfied. Pollard Flats Food and Fuel is one of those places.
Corporate chains like Cracker Barrel and Bob Evans wish they were as authentic as this little cafe. It's been there since the 1920s, and the third generation has just taken over operations. The decor is quirky, loaded with genuine antiques. Seating is available at the counter or at one of the many tables. Meals available to go if you can't wait. There's a small convenience counter for candy bars and etc.
The food.... well its home town cooking. Large portions, served hit on heated plates. You'll not leave hungry. You'll enjoy every bite.
What an awesome place to stop!
