“Marvellous location right off the tourist trail”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2013

We were not convinced that we had done the right thing booking this remote B&B but it turned out to be a splendid choice for us. It is a very spacious modern house, with a huge living area and big decks overlooking the nearby river valley. It is right off the beaten track, but really not hard to find. Owner Mary was very friendly and welcoming, and serves up a good hearty breakfast. Slightly old-fashioned room furnishings, but not untypical of these parts. We much enjoyed our stay here and visits to nearby Weaverville with its interesting museum and knowledgeable curator! And right next door is the Trinity lakes and wilderness areas.

Room Tip: I think there are only 2 rooms for the B&B; probably makes little difference which one you get.

If you are looking for a beautiful place to host a wedding, family reuion, or a romantic get away with your loved one this is the place. Its a very large B&B with very clean comfortable accomodations. If your are looking to get away this is the place to go. Mary is a wonderful host and she provides and very beautiful and healthy breakfast and coffee. I believe other accomodations are available for a fee. There is a beautiful large kitchen with tons of seating and great views. The views are breath taking while you sit on the back patio overlooking the valley and the Trinity River. A very large patio is available for events. You can swim fish, hike, or just have a great picnic in the forest at one of the two lakes or many riverfront spots real close by. This is a family friendly enviornment and this includes your family dog. There is plenty of room for your pet to enjoy the trip too. A very quiet and peaceful place to plan a trip. I reccomend it for anyone to try..I really enjoyed our stay and will return again.

Room Tip: The entire place is quiet and clean.

My husband and I stayed at the Heritage Guest House recently and enjoyed a good and healthy breakfast after sleeping in a cozy and warm bedroom with en suite bathroom. Location is good in the mountains with many recreational opportunities available in the surrounding area. The unique design lay of the house itself is more than suitable for a family re-union providing internal space as well as external.

We're not B&B people but this place was appealing. The scenery, the house and hospitality were all wonderful. It is a small operation even if the house itself is large and dramatic so the whole trip was enhanced by the intimacy that Mary creates. Finally, and to us as importantly, it is kid and dog friendly, especially with the host pooch, Chewy, in attendance.

Room Tip: The upsetairs room is warm during hot days but cools off in the evening.

I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Heritage Guest House in Lewiston...very reasonably priced--a B&B with excellent food,. This place is unbelievable: A unique structure, sitting on a mountain knoll with a huge deck overlooking the Trinity River. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful location, lovely house. Quiet, tasteful decor, interesting angles in the construction, we enjoyed the house as much as the grounds. Took a walk through the woods, sat and read in the comfortable living room at night. Quiet place with a good feel.

Mary was very hospitable. She served fine food and was most welcoming.

Game room and other amenities make it ideal for a large group (14) with kids. Ok to pitch tents on the grounds for more privacy.
