This is titled a luxury farmstead. It has chickens roaming the yard and Llamas. It seems designed for couples to have a romantic day or two and it works. No TV and not for kids. They bring breakfast in a picnic basket to your room. It done up in a cute way, maybe too cute, but my guess is that they are appealing to a woman's romantic fantasy. Still it works, breakfast was great. My adult son had his own room and enjoyed his fireplace (as we did ours).

Despite the rustic setting, they have wifi too.

Room Tip: You reserve an actual room so read the descriptions and call them too.

We stayed at Glendeven when visiting Mendocino -we only stayed for one night and wished we could have stayed much longer! The room was comfortable with a nice view and working fireplace. We enjoyed seeing the llamas, the chickens and the gardens and walking to the beach. The farm to table dinner across the way was wonderful and the breakfast, delivered to our room in a nice basket, was quite delicious.

We stayed at the Trail Cottage. Very nice decor and good quality linens. Bathroom is downstairs a bit of a drag if you need the restroom in the night. There's no laundry facilities which I did expect paying this price for a house and there's none in the central sight either. Receptionist were nice but none of them were helpful with questions about the house heating and seemed quite odd, were always calling us back as they didn't know the answers to any questions. Did have the farm to the table meal which was annoyingly tentative, very small portions, a bit confused in flavour and not worth $100 plus service, which we were charged twice - we tipped cash and they put it on our bill! There's nothing really to do in Mendocino and it's as cold as San Francisco. Sea is smelly and thick with sea weed. Liked the nature walk with Rebecca and Cafe Beaujolais in Mendocino is great for dinner. Glendeven is a five minute drive from town. They do really care here and there's some nice touches.

We stayed at Glendeven for 3 nights (Garrett), mid-week. It was amazing. Everything was as perfect as it looks online - as beautiful, as delicious, as special. They exceeded expectations in every way. Besides all the great amenities that we knew about, there were special little surprise touches all around that made it even better. I almost don't want to write too much so that people can experience it for themselves.... I would recommend Glendeven without hesitation. It's wonderful!

If you enjoy breakfast baskets full of deliciously prepared treats delivered to your door and rooms with rustic country charm (and wood burning fireplaces), along with free wine and hors douvres.....and lounging llamas, you'll fall in love with Glendeven. Have the farm to table dinner Wed. Thru Sat. and enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds it. We loved the East Farmington room with the cozy fireplace.

Glendeven Inn is, simply put, our perfect getaway B&B. This is the Inn where we spent our first weekend away in our new relationship. It's where we came back for our dating anniversary. It's where we stay when we come wine tasting in the Anderson Valley, and hiking on the Coast. Naturally, it's where we got engaged this past weekend.

From the phenomenal breakfast every morning to the wine and appetizer hour every night, the wandering goat statues in the front lawn, the ridiculously awe inspiring views... Every time we come here it's relaxing, amazing and restorative.

The staff are always willing to help you find the perfect romantic touch, get a good reservation, whatever they can to help make your stay as easy and calming as they can.

We had a wonderful experience at this b&b along the California coast. The staff was outstanding and helpful. The rooms clean and spacious. The breakfast was great. We walked down to the beach taking the path across the street. We also enjoyed the llamas and chickens. Overall great stay!
