We love this time of year on the coast. The weather can be iffy, but we have lucked out more times than not. This time the weather was only drippy, but warm enough to walk around Mendocino and fort Bragg in light jackets. Our room was in the newer building on the second floor with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The room was very spacious with a deck, fireplace, yummy king bed and a large jacuzzi in the huge bathroom. We ate all of our meals in the dining room or at the bar, which is an institution up there. Met some really nice people and the bartender was a hoot. The food is good with a varied menu to please many tastes. We will return next year.

This is a beautiful place. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Their restaurant also has the BEST crab cakes. A must have every time we visit. Breakfast from the restaurant is also delicious! If you travel with your dog, as we do, they are super pet friendly. We love Rosie's Cottage as it sits off the main property by itself. There is a large deck out front with a hot tub and a fenced yard in back. We have also stayed on the main property and the room there are beautiful as well. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone passing through the Mendocino or Fort Bragg area.

I took my boy friend to a surprise trip to Little River this weekend, this hotel was recommended to us from a family member. It was by FAR the best hotel/vacation I have ever expierenced by far!!! I have traveled a lot and nothing can beat this. Dan (front desk) took my reservation and was outrageous from the very start. When my boy friend and I checked in, he was nothing by smiles and happy took the best care of us from the time we arrived until the time we left!! Props also to the wine guy he was great and so friendly. We also go in-room massages, I do have to say it was the best massage I think we both have ever recieved. The bartender Sue, was so great as well!! The hospitatlity overall was just beyond perfect. It is hard to find that now a days!!!

We had a Standard Ocean View room and with how great this one was I can only imagine how great the more upgraded rooms are. Our view was spectacular, the rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. We ate at the resturant our first night and had room service one morning, all the food was impecable.

Since this hotel was so great, we have decided to make this hotel our traditional spot every time we go!!!

Conveniently located a few miles south of Mendocino, run by the most friendly and hospitable folks. Although the facility is a bit dated, the rooms are comfortable and quiet and it looks like the majority of the rooms have a view of the ocean. The facility has a bar as well as a decent restaurant.

There is a golf course on the premises for golfers. My daughter and I (non-golfers) enjoyed walking over to the pro shop and getting a couple of buckets of balls to hit at the driving range before having breakfast at the restaurant. Also recommend just watching the sun set on a rocking chair outside your room.

Pros: Relaxing facility run by great people.
Cons: No AT&T cell phone reception. Free Wifi is quite slow.
Unknown: Whether situation would still be the same during the summer vacation months.

Loved the fireplace and balcony view of the ocean. The restaurant was great, especially sunday brunch. It was close to Mendocino, Fort Bragg and several parks. We took a great walk in the park nearby and saw something that I had never heard of before - pygmy forest!!
