“Lovely tasting”
Reviewed 8 July 2014 via mobile

This was our last stop on our wine tasting afternoon. Luxury Limousine provided our driver, Richard, and limo for the tasting. Richard had been in touch with us multiple times while we planned this excursion and helped choose the vineyard to visit during our stay.

We had a package at the Fess Parker Inn which included a number of wineries in town and out of town. For those out of town we decided to hire a driver to make the day easier and safer. It was also a lot more fun as well as educational. Richard knew a great deal about the vineyards on our list as well as about wine and the history of the area. This whole experience was great, thank you to Richard.

This was our last stop during the day and after tasting a number of wines, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are the big wines here, we decided to have our lunch. At first we were hoping to be able to eat comfortably in the facility. There were comfy chairs and tables. But after bringing our food inside, we were told that we could not eat indoors. Not sure if this is a state law or "house" rule. What ever, Richard made what could have been uncomfortable into a plus. He just took one of the tables inside and moved it outside, with the help of the women in the pouring room. They brought chairs out for us and it turned into a great afternoon.

All in all this was a wonderful experience. We purchased a bottle of wine as well as some chocolates to take home.

A wonderful afternoon.

“Great is back!”
Reviewed 25 March 2014

I had been a club member but dropped as they had changed their offerings in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. But what they are tasting now, even the ones at a reasonable price are great. And the top of the line is fantastic. The majority of their product is from Santa Rita Hills which is famous for the two grapes. The tasting room was very friendly. I joined the wine club again. this is especially good now as the Foley holdings have been extended to a number of first class wineries in Santa Barbara, San Luis and the Napa area.

“Fantastic Chardonnays”
Reviewed 1 July 2013

Our favorite place to go for Chardonnays. They have one that will appeal to everyone's taste and certainly allow you to experience the craft that is winemaking as you work your way through the flights with the friendly server explaining exactly why the wine you are enjoying tastes different from the Chardonnay you just finished. Their wine club is a great deal if for no other reason than the family of wineries you get with it including Firestone in Foxen Canyon.

Commercial wine tasting at it's best. Foley is part of Firestone is part of like 12 other winery chains. The wines aren't bad and the place is beautiful but the pinots are really over priced compared to what you can get in the area, The crowd this vineyard attracts isn't the very interesting either-- a lot of people who think they know a lot about wine. A little fake and posery. And I think the people who pour the wine are trained to pour to this type of clientele. That's what sells the wine not the wine. You are not getting what you pay for. Meh, next.
