My dad and I ate here, and both wished we hadn't. I ordered a grilled cheese. It was hardly grilled, and the cheese wasn't melted.

Stopped off on drive from Vegas to Mammoth...great place for lunch..service could have been a little quicker but it gave us time to look at all the Western film memorabilia that covers every bit of wall space..food was good and reasonably priced...glad we stopped by.

Have breakfast here. Spend some time look at the hundreds of autographed photos of cowboy/cowgirls from movies made here in the 50's. This is an authentic local place, not fancy but comfortable and welcoming.
I had chorizo and eggs with grilled Jalapeños, hash-browns and tortillas. Superb, terrific, spicy, memorable, a home run.
We'll be back and back and back.

We took a group of backpackers (8 Boy Scouts & 3 leaders) for dinner to Mt. Whitney Restaurant after completing a 72 mile trek. This was their first meal in a week that was reconstituted by water and they were not disappointed. The big hits of the group were the ostrich burgers, elk burgers and buffalo burgers. Chrissy (spelling?), our waitress was a dream. She was very patient, even after I asked if we could split our group into 4 checks. :-) As well, she was very friendly, kind and funny and was the perfect compliment to a delicious dinner.
