If you stay here more than a day or two - you seem meet everyone: from the great staff in the lobby and the other guests at either breakfast or wine hour to the owner himself!
The guests range all over the place - from visiting med students, actors, to actual government dignitaries - it's like being at a small, intimate, Washington DC hotel. The staff are super friendly, super helpful, and can offer great suggestions for everything from where to eat to where take your guy for his birthday, how cool is that!?!
The Hotel is from the 20's and Larry has done a great job updating the cozy rooms to usable modern spaces, appointed nicely and very comfortable. And just like the Historical Landmark signage on the roof states: There's a bath in every room.
No doubt i'll be staying there again!
For those with a practical side, there's a laundry mat (an ok one), a coffee place (Birdcage - an excellent one), and a breakfast place open early (The Omelette Inn - quick, good, and inexpensive) all either on the same block, or in the case of the Omelette Inn - two short blocks away.
