On our second visit to the Bay Area we sought an efficient, cost effective "suite" with Kitchenette. We were very pleased to have this Marriott suggested to us. The one bedroom suite, a bit tight for a family of four, worked very well. Having the Kitchenette was terrific in not having to go out for every lunch. As well as keeping our Trader Joe's "Brunch" cool for early flight home the next day. Staff is very accommodating and gracious. Their outdoor pool and hot tub are spotless and welcome relief on a hot day.
The outstanding feature is their very comprehensive breakfast which is included. There is a fairly good selection of both hot and cold items. My only quibbles are that there should be more then one fresh fruit and less sugary cereals. I also took advantage of their small workout room/gym. Equipment was in good working order and room was kept very clean. Towels
water and wipes for the machines was consistently well stocked. Parking, included, and below street level is especially appreciated on hot days avoiding getting into scorching car. Rates are significantly higher on weekdays. Note that there Wi-Fi is a tad slow. Overall highly recommended.

I looked very carefully for a Palo Alto hotel for business meetings. This happened to be a week when all hotels from SFO to San Jose were booked. But the Courtyard by Marriott on El Camino Real found us three rooms and we came in hesitant due to some of the negative reviews. They were pretty much wrong!

First, this property is nicely updated. The lobby, breakfast eatery, and bar area are reasonable and comfortable. The rooms are nicely appointed, and only could be improved if the carpeting was fully replaced. Additionally, the wifi was nicely robust and allowed us to do all the business necessary.

The outdoor courtyard is spectacular. We watched some workers putting the final touches on new brick walls around the seating areas outside of the lobby, and it will be in great shape in days. Two gas fireplaces allow for pleasant evening outdoors.

Most important... the staff. We arrived at 12:30 am -- and the attendant was great. During the day, we experienced tremendous breakfast staff and desk staff. I'm happy to say that made this stay a "5".

In my experience a lot of the branch off marriott properties were a little more dated but the rooms were larger. This Marriott actually was quite a surprise. Aside from the u turn one must make when traveling west (there's no direct turn into the property) getting here was fairly easy. It's located near a main intersection that has a new upscale/trendy mall/restaurant complex. I forgot what it's called. Check in was simple and easy. The rooms were a little smaller but the design was very modern and more artsy as they have different types of decorated wallpaper in every room. (We had 3 rooms and they weren't the same). The garage entrace is a little wierd if you have a bigger vehicle the key lock system is on a curve so it's not the easiest to get to but there is ample parking space. When we were there construction was happening in one of the corners of the garage but it didn't impact us. Housekeeping does a good job. And the lobby has a lil bar at night/coffee bar during the day. there were lots of college age students that stayed here but most of them were just conversating and enjoying each others company. It's a great place to stay and would definitely stay again.

We have an office in Mountain View so this is a very convenient location. Normally I stay in Santa Clara because the Marriott there is a full service hotel. This time I decided to stay here and have been pleasantly surprised. The hotel has been completed update--the lobby has a very modern feel with a surprisingly sexy vibe yet without the noise of a full lobby bar. The restaurant has great made to order food with great service. They recently updated the fitness room with new equipment and the rooms are spacious with super comfortable beds. The hotel has a great courtyard with a pool, hot tub and gas fireplaces; and the beds are super comfortable with great bedding.

My only complaint is the price (over $300 per night) but this is the heart of the technology beltway and with Google around the corner, it is not surprising to see this room rate. I should also mention that the staff is great and very helpful.

Room Tip: This hotel only has three levels and the 3rd floor is the best location, but considered to be an upg...

The place has been renovated. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and make it easy to cater for yourself although the hotel provide complimentary evening meals four nights a week. It's not The Ritz but a good clean friendly place and I enjoyed my stay here

I stayed at this property for a single night before a campus visit with my daughter to Stanford. We experienced the standard Courtyard by Marriott stay - nothing magical but nothing terrible. The room was comfortable and quiet (request a room that does not overlook busy Camino Real). Check-in and out was friendly and efficient. We enjoyed a few hours poolside - the outdoor courtyard really is lovely and much nicer than many other Courtyard properties. I appreciated the gated, secure underground parking. The only complaint I had was the construction - right outside our window beginning at 8am. Ugh.

At the time of staying here, there are renovations ongoing of the lobby, so on the positive, there's extensive seating areas and a nice open business center. Makes it convenient to meet up, work or chill. Rooms are good, but like many things in this area, overpriced. We all want a nice place to stay, but just as important is the customer service, which has been at the extremes. The night woman who goes by the name Rizza was extremely rude, unprofessional and we almost cancelled our reservation just because of her attitude. Not sure who's bright idea was to hire her (she apparently is a night auditor), but she should NEVER be interacting with customers. During the day, had a very different experience with a nice woman. In the evening, the guy running their brand new bar told a guest who asked for a cup of water that they don't do that...he can only buy bottled water. Really? So, if you plan to come here, be prepared to pay a lot and unless they figure out how to renovate the staff, not just the lobby, they are just an average hotel.
