This is, I suppose, one of the "in" places in downtown LA. it's a 3 story basement private coal fired electricity generating power plant, long disused, until a business genius decided to make it into as weird a club that he could. This includes many screens with strange, animated films. The patrons dress for the occasion. We had a great time, absolutely would go back on our next trip to LA.

We recently held a event at The Edison and it was one of the most stunning parties I've had the privilege to attend. The staff is incredible and the location is extraordinary! I cannot say enough good things about our experience there. From the food, to the decor to the music. Wonderful! I highly recommend!

My friends and enjoyed everything about the Edison. The 20s theme was clear and done well. 3 story brick building lit by bulbs around lounge and chandelier in staircase. Lots of seating , big bar, large mirrors , silent films projected on walls, shadow animation on wall , burlesque dancers on stage, and a fairy distributing absinthe vodka in tiny glass bottles in a cart. So fun !! Great DJ and we danced all night. On Saturday get there before 9:30-10 so no line. Enjoy!!

Beautiful décor and atmosphere. Very unique. It is set up as a lounge bar with a huge screen tv playing silent movies and 1920's music. Later in the night the music changes to club music and the place gets very crowded. The seating is limited so most of the crow is just standing or walking around. The drinks are pricey but very good. I really liked The Mistress. We went on a Saturday and got seated by the stage but unfortunately as soon as the show started (The Eddies) all the people standing around gather in front of the stage and completely blocked our view of the show. Other than that, we had a good time. It is definitely a must go to place at least once just to check it out.

Step in off of a side alley into the old Edison building in downtown, Los Angelos for a very unique cocktail lounge. There is food, but there is a limited menu. It is a place to meet after work, or take friends for a drink before dinner. It is absolutely beautiful inside. It is well worth going just to see the décor and lighting. This building use to be the old electric power building, thus the name of the Edison. They have incorporated the old workings of the electric company to be part of the décor. The pendent lighting coming from two stories up is stunning. The couches and tables are grouped intimately throughout the lounge making a cozy setting. There are old black and white silent movies playing on some of the large walls that make up the room. The copper back wall of one of the bars is so beautiful and glows as the light hits it. I have never quite experienced a cocktail lounge that was so beautiful and elegant. Kuddos to the designer and contractor. It is stunning. I will definitely be back here again when visiting the Los Angeles area. There is a dress code. No shorts or sleeveless shirts for the men. No baggy pants. Very Cool place . We did not try the food. Only cocktails.
