We loved our stay over New Years (while attending the Rose Bowl activities and the game itself) at the JW Marriott. The rooms are spacious and plush, bathrooms are well designed, with a great shower, and good amenities. Service was cheerful. The location is great, adjoining the LA Live complex and the Ritz Carlton. The beds were comfy.

The J.W. Marriott at L. A. LIVE is an excellent hotel. We were in town for the Rose Bowl. The rooms are immaculately clean and spacious with many comfort touches, including excellent linens and extremely comfortable beds. The rooms are completely sound proofed. The meeting and banquet areas are well appointed and all in excellent repair. The location is also terrific for Los Angles sporting venues. With the transportation system, all areas of LA are easily accessible.

Room Tip: All of the rooms throughout are sound proofed, with good views of the city.

I love this hotel, this is the first luxury hotel I ever been in. It was close to almost everything except for the train station, the pool was nice awesome and friendly staff I first had a problem with the friends and family rate but was able to figure it out, I would love this Hotel even more if the internet was free but oh well no big deal.

We were greeted by friendly ballet. When we walked in there was an amazing smell! They have some kind of atomizer going on somewhere. It's settled but it's wonderful. We went to the bar to get a drink and the bartender was very very helpful and went out of his way for us. I really wish I could remember his name. He was a sweetheart. We then checked in with a young
man named Jacob, I believe it was, he was beyond helpful when he noticed we were looking for a place to eat he made a suggestion then he made a call and when we went to eat there the manager Treated us very special and even took several items off our bill as a thank you. The rooms were clean and everything was very pretty but when you get amazing service, and you are taken care of in such a beautiful way that makes you definitely want to come back, which we
will!!

Hands down, I had to give the JW Marriott at LA Live a 5 based on our personal experience. My husband and I spent one night at the property while in town for a basketball game and had a phenomenal stay. I booked a Jr. Suite with my Amex points and apparently the hotel overbooked as our room was given to someone who was going to be staying for 5 nights. Not to worry we were told though and the front desk staff (Christian in particular) made our night with an upgrade to the 1500+ square foot Chairman suite. The room had a wonderful view overlooking the LA skyline, the Staples Center, and the ice skating rink below which twinkled with all of the beautiful holiday lights. Christmas is really the time to stay here as the hotel outdoes itself with all of the lights and decorations.

The location could not have been better, the hotel was just a 2 minute walk across the street to the Staples Center. There is also a Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill on the bottom floor which was very good.

The staff was wonderful, everyone from the valet to the bellman was super friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this JW Marriott and plan to visit again soon.

Spent a night here and it was a mess. Hotel management and staff seemed like they were completely over-whelmed with how busy it was (Michigan State folks were staying here). Although it was busy, Dec 29th, you would think it was the first time they had a full hotel.

No bell help at all to be found. Rooms not ready for check in for any reward level, Platinum or not. People waiting hours for rooms. Once in room, not very clean. Call down for luggage (after a woman at the front desk, put it on a cart for me) and told will be up to the room soon. Half hour later no luggage so go down and check with the one person in Bell area sure enough our luggage was still sitting there, he had no clue was suppose to bring it up to room. I mean what happen to the bell staff and why was management not helping?

I spend over 50 nights a year a Marriott Hotels, this was a complete disaster. The Management failed, employees not prepared, management not around to help. I would pass on this Hotel, too much for way too little.

The only positive is it is close to Staples center but get a Hotel a bit further away that is managed better and take a taxi, you will save a bundle and have a much better experience.

This hotel has just about everything you want from a high-end hotel. The rooms are big, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The theme is contemporary but 50s-inspired, with yellows, oranges, and blues-better than the generic modern hotel. The beds are perfectly comfortable. The fans are quiet and the soundproofing is good, although you can hear a little distant freeway noise. Our rooms were on the nineteenth floor, which is high enough to give you a decent view in LA. The lobby coffee shop is good, and the breakfast buffet (either in the restaurant or the lounge) is excellent. Room service is passable. The lobby is one of those open, three-story affairs, and it's quite impressive, although also on the ugly side. The pool is pretty big for a hotel and has nice views and a bar. The service is excellent throughout.

It was also incredibly cheap between Christmas and New Year's.
