We stayed at the Marriott for a Design Conference in June. This hotel is attached to the Ritz Carlton and neither hotel spared any expense making sure their guest's are comfortable. We had an amazing trip. The staff were very personable and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. We enjoyed the roof top pool with great views of Staples Arena. There are an abundance of pub's, bars, and restaurants all within steps of the Marriott. I do recommend you try the WP24 restaurant on the 24 floor of the Ritz. The food was mouth watering and the views are spectacular. We got there just in time to watch the sun go down, it was beautiful. Food is pricey but worth it. We would def. stay here again. The only downside is they do not have their own airport shuttle and a taxi is $60 one way. They did have downtown shuttles but it took forever to get to our hotel. We opted to take the taxi back, less stress. Great experience.

Got a great 2 night room rate so jumped on it. A bit concerned that it was in downtown LA, but there was so much to do there. Hotel was excellent...Room was very nice. Hotel staff gave us a $50 per night credit towards anything in the hotel (we used it towards the $42 p/night parking fee). Gym was big and clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: High floor

I recently attended a conference at this hotel in LA. The rooms were nicely done and comfortable. The facilities and in particular, the pool, was pretty and well maintained. There is a nice open lobby with seating areas for chatting and networking. Gourmet coffee shop and bar on site at lobby level were great. The bar had numerous TVs showing the key sporting events of the night. The conference room facilities were extensive. They did a great job with snacks and food at the breaks with excellent and well prepared food options.
The hotel is situated in the LA Live area- so there are some sport centres, restaurants, bars and Starbucks in close proximity. That said, I didn't find there to be a lot of interesting shops, cafes or other sites nearby. The area has a certain appeal if you are looking to specifically be in the LA Live area or stay close to the hotel. Overall I thought the hotel itself was nicely done, and for a hotel offering conference services, it certainly provided for a stylish meeting.

My room was the reflection of a well trained and caring staff. The breakfast area is awesome!!! Great work. Pool is very appealing, and welcomed, for a downtown hotel.
Staff is very friendly and efficient. Location next to JW Marriott and LA Live makes it perfect.
Meeting space is very convenient and very well maintained.
Thank you very much for making a three day stay so memorable during a very intense convention time.

Stayed at the JW Marriott in March and yes it's a very nice note, nice rooms, but what I can not get over is that they charge 12 USD for the use of internet in the rooms per device and that internet is free at the lobby. Also the charge for the paring is over the top, I can understand the location means it should be expensive, but at this level of hotel the parking should be complimentary for guests.
