We had been so looking forward to staying in this iconic hotel. It has recently been refurbished the rooms are truly beautiful the bathrooms dreamy the private patios so appealing, So what was disappointing ? The hotel is part of the Dorchester group but if you expect the same high culinary standards as in their hotels in London or Milan you will be sadly disappointed. The management being aware of our underwhelming dinner experience did all they could to make good, producing a special tasting menu providing free flow of champagnes and wonderful wines but the food was sadly not to standard. I think it is actually an American Californian thing, if you are European and live in Tokyo you are not going to be satisfied with so called gourmet food in the US. Additionally, service standards are very different here, it may be too casual for certain clients.

This place is lovely it’s situated in the middle of a plush housing estate in Bel Air the premises offer everything you require the restaurants are superb the service impeccable and the whole place oozes class

Coming back here time to time is a bless! I love to walk in the alley surrounded by that beautiful, vigorous and lush vegetation, scents of nature, sound of silence, this is the closest place to paradise on earth. The hotel staff is highly professional and always ready to assist you, food is exceptional too; from breakfast to dinner the experience is simply perfect and delicious, so delicious that you won't want leave. The bar is very cozy with live music almost every night, great cocktails by the king of the barman, Mr. Alan, and an A-List atmosphere that you will love. Thanks to Ms. Denise Flanders and to all the team to make and mantain this place very unique.

A complete life saver, with crazy power outages threatening to ruin my wife and my anniversary, the staff here in under an hour had us set up with an amazing room and a perfect dinenr with flowers and champagne and cake. Completely saved the day. The hotel is perfect from the time you arrive till the second you leave. Amazing!

We found this hotel after Expedia booked us a room in Santa Monica that was not available when we arrived. After calling to confirm that there was an available room at Hotel Bel-Air, we arrived at 10:30pm and were greeted by Victor Rivero. He was extremely helpful and made sure we were completely satisfied with our room. He consulted with Emma Schur on the room choice and they had us wait in the bar with a complementary glass of wine while they prepared our room. The stay with them was the best experience we have ever had at a hotel! We were with them 2 nights and I did not want to leave!!!!

It was my second stay and I was happy again.
Our room was clean, quit and nicely furnished with style.
Morning walk around bungalows with lush garden was so refreshing.

Breakfast was a la carte, quite expensive.

Concierge service was very bad. They forgot twice to make a dinner reservation , they had problem to offer trendy place which is not touristic ...

Anyway we will come again.
