Father's Office was the original gourmet burger restaurant in Los Angeles, provided you are willing to have it their way--no ketchup, no additions or substitutions. The burgers should be accompanied by their delicious fries (regular or sweet potato). They have a great selection of beers on draught.

My only complaint is that the burgers are much better at the Santa Monica location. I think the burgers in Santa Monica are among the best in the city. The burgers in this location are good, but not great. Why?

The staff is friendly and efficient. There's parking nearby.

The menu is as cute as the name. But the burgers are serious business. Esquire Magazine rates the Office Burger among the best in the world. So will you. Expect long lines, and a constant buzzing energy. Umm, who's that sitting across from me? Didn't he have a show on The Disney Channel? Up your standards and order the obscurest craft beer. Follow the rules, and don't go asking asking for anything fancy on your burger like ketchup.

famous for its burgers - and rightly so! huge burgers slid into a fresh-baked Helms Bakery bun, no choice of condiments, comes with yummy sautéed onions and the usual pickles etc. Fries are thin and crispy and one serving can easily be shared. Good beer and ciders on tap.

Went for the well advertised burger.
1) no deletions or substitutions
2) medium order arrived slightly less than medium rare.
3) fries shoestring but tasteless even with parsley. Also first batch came cold.
4) beer selection outstanding though.
5) son had lamb skewers-excellent.
6) would not return for burger. One and done.

First, I don't under the concept of having a restaurant/bar and you offer NO table services to take your order. I would think you would sell more if you had waiters and waitresses. I would of ordered more beer.
Next, they have a good selection of beers but the beer pours are in 12 oz glasses (not 16 oz, the norm) and are expensive. The food also has the same theme. Small portions and pricey. Lastly, how can you not offer ketchup?
