Had some time to kill on the way back from Burbank and stopped here. Parking is a nightmare but suck it up and walk a bit farther because the Griffith Observatory is definitely cool. I didn't spend too much time inside or anything but the building is picturesque and the views of Los Angeles are gorgeous! You could easily spend half a day here. Not to mention, as a film buff, it was pretty cool to be standing where some iconic film moments were made.

CA native and have never been here. We arrived at night and it was crowded. Very beautiful views. Would like to come again in the daytime. Parking was a bit difficult.

We tried to visit Griffith Observatory but the traffic on the weekend was horrific. Absolutely impossible to get near the place. People were parking on the access road and walking up the hill. The road was narrow and winding and not suitable or safe for pedestrian traffic.

This observatory was remodeled a few year ago. The architecture is eye-catching. I suggest having a few drinks beforehand and catching the show at the planetarium. The view of Los Angeles is also incredible and well-worth the visit

Beautiful views of the city, you realize how big Los Angeles is. The visit to this attraction was made even better by learning the history from my guide behind Griffith Park and the Observatory. It made me see this place in a different prospective.
