Stayed here for one night on arrival in to LA. We had to wait over half an hour for the shuttle which was full after terminal 3 so just continued on to the hotel. If you are arriving it may be quicker to walk to a lower numbered terminal to catch the shuttle, or alternately get the Thrifty or Fox car rental shuttles and walk across the street. We stayed in the Lindbergh Suite which was great and came with a terrace for watching the planes land. I would mention that this is an airport location and there is some aircraft noise but with the windows closed this is very minimal. Had breakfast in the restaurant which was good. One negative point is that the receptionist was unable to help us get to our car rental pick up and couldn't tell us a rough taxi cost which was annoying. In the end we got the Westin free shuttle to the airport and got the Alamo shuttle to get our car which was a ttotally backward way of doing it but only took 20 mins max.

We stayed overnight on 3 April to fly back to Calgary. Very clean and with a classic feel. However, we had requested for cribs for our 1 year old twins and upon arrival none were present. We had to call for them and they were brought up with no further issue. Upon departure we had the worst shuttle bus driver who was literally yelling at us frustrated that we had too much luggage including baby gear ( car seats for each twin) and a double stroller. He continued yelling at my husband to fold the stroller while complaining that we were taking too much time loading stuff. What did he expect from a family with 1 year old twins??? I was extremely mad. He was a Hispanic, hefty looking male with a gruff look...sorry did not get his name. As if that was not enough, he then demanded for a tip when we arrived at the airport after he helped unload one carry on bag!!! Wow, up to now I'm in awe! I totally did nit enjoy my ride to the airport on this shuttle bus. I wished we had called for a taxi. I probably will do that next time except I will not be going back to the Westin Los Angeles airport hotel:(

Upon arrival in LAX we waited for more than 30 minutes for the shuttle for the Westin LAX, which then arrived full. Four Sheraton LAX shuttles came while we were waiting, not to mention several other hotel vans many times, one after the other. The hotel is ok; the rooms are just passable for the brand, but it is not worth the wait or the distance from the airport itself. I found the hotel reception cold and not at all apologetic for the inconvenience. I noticed that there was no turn-down service and only one bottle of water supplied in the room. The manager on duty when we arrived seemed not to be SPG friendly. The receptionist found an upgrade available, but the manager claimed it was occupied. The wifi does not work properly.

I stayed at the Westin for a small conference, and I couldn't have been happier. The front desk staff was excellent, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the convention space was well suited to our event. We had two food functions at this hotel, and the food was outstanding...MUCH better than I've experienced at any other hotel meeting. The staff in the lobby bar and restaurant were also very attentive and accommodating. It was a wonderful experience overall.

Probably the only issues were the shower head (which was difficult for me to adjust) and the fact that WiFi was an additional cost. Even with these issues, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

This was a quick stay. We had an early flight out the next morning and were looking for an affordable, but not cheap, hotel close to LAX. Front desk staff was helpful and prompt to get us checked in. Rooms were clean, bed was super comfortable, and pillow choices were adequate. We booked this on Hotwire and were pleasantly surprised at the rate from a Westin product.

Stayed overnight, chose the hotel because of its price and the location both of which were great! There is a handy free shuttle to LAX. The room was good and the bed was comfortable. Couldn't wish for much more from a stop over hotel.

As a frequent traveler to or through Los Angeles, I keep trying this hotel having faith in Westin as the best of the available options near LAX and am disappointed every time. I've stayed four times over the past four months and can say it's simply not up to Westin's standards. The service is iffy - sometimes pleasant, sometimes surly. The shuttles to the airport are routinely packed to the brim. The hallways are dark and the rooms tired. The club on the Starwood level has limited hours, limited offerings and limited seating (although the woman who works there in the morning is lovely.)
The Daily Grille off the lobby is great - probably because it's not connected to the hotel. But the hotel bar around the corner is a different story. I had consistently lousy service there -- long waits for attention from the bartender while she watched the television or chatted with friends.

On a recent stay they tried to put me in a "suite" that was a converted meeting room on the 3rd floor surrounded by other meeting rooms. It was just weird. The room was dimly lit with a conference table in the middle, they put a sofa in there and propped open the door to an adjoining room with a bed and tried to pass it off as a suite. WTH?
Because the hotel must get business primarily from people "passing through" I don't think it is as service oriented as it should be, which is a shame because it degrades the Westin name.
