Went here because we had just landed and we stayed in Universal. Food is different than our New York City Chinatown food. Portions are small. Food was average. Did not feel it was worth the price. Wait staff was friendly and it seems they all help each other which impressed us.

The food we ordered was delicious, well seasoned and the quantity was good. Our server was courteous and very helpful, and he had a good sense of humour. All in all, the best meal we had in City Walk, and the most reasonable.

We ate here on Saturday 25th in the evening (around 8 pm). This was a VERY busy time with a show in progress in Universal City, and all the park leavers milling about looking for food and entertainment. A very short wait got us a table, but our order was overlooked somehow. We alerted a staff member when we noticed other tables getting food before us (although we had not waited very long). A manager immediately came to apologise, and we had our meals within 10 minutes. He went further, without any prompt, to offer our meals free of charge. Even though we were not upset (we were chatting and enjoying a drink) at all, I need to commend the manager for his humble service action, which certainly assured our loyalty. The food is really excellent, not run-of-the mill, and portions are huge (so many people seem to get a take-home bag & box). Commendable in all respects.

We were at Universal and ate lunch at City Walk (Wolfgang Puck's). Decided to also eat dinner after the park closed to wait out some of the traffic. Trying to decide where to make reservations we stopped in at the Sketchers store and asked. They recommended Panda Inn as being good and very fresh. We stopped and made a 6:30 reservation for Monday evening. The park wasn't too crowded so neither was Panda Inn. We ate outside since it was so nice, with just one other table (family of 4). Luckily I noticed on the menu that most entrees serve 2-3 people so we ordered an appetizer and the lemon chicken. Both were very good. It came with one cup of rice (white or brown). No veggies or anything else. This would be a great place for a large group so several things could be ordered. If we are ever back in the area we would go again.

We needed a place to eat between our day at Universal and tickets to see Spamalot at Pantages. We were a little hesitant to go here, there was only one other party seated here, but people looking at the menu outside said they highly recommended it so we took the chance. So glad we did! We spent over a week in the LA area and this was the best restaurant we ate at. Everything was superb, the waitstaff excellent. We ordered three entrees for three of us to share and had enough leftover for lunch the next day. Will definitely eat here again.
