I do not recommend this hotel. Its only positive point, if you want to visit Universal Studios, is its location (near from the studios).
But the hotel is located on a very noisy road, and the noise of the trafic is really disturbing to sleep. The climatisation also makes a terrible noise. And during the night, there is music loudly played in the corridors, so it is really impossible to sleep.
The parking is not free and it is expensive.
The swimmimg pool is simply horrible : small, dirty, and situated at the very end of the car park!
For the same price, you can find a better hotel, with a better quality of service (there is no real attention for the clients).

All I can say is that this place was so beautiful the staff is really nice and the rooms are amazing. We got the best service ever! Also it was so close to Universal Studios so it saved us money on parking. This was the best Hotel around that area all the other ones were really ghetto so I advise everyone to stay here.

The Blvd hotel situated five minutes from universal studios and universal walk entertainment precinct. The train station is five minutes walk and is only two stops from the centre of hollywood. Rooms were new and really clean . Only complaint was my room should have had two TVs one was missing . I reported it but nothing was done in the five days my family and I were there. Overal great stay and perfect location. Would come back for sure.

I stayed for 3nights in their queen suite last april 2012. it was a pleasant stay for me and my friend. their suite was very clean, comfortable and spacious even after we messed the room with the stuffs from our gigantic luggage. i loved it when a hotel have a small kitchen space since sometimes after a ride, id be super lazy to go out and hunt for a food. The staffs were also very helpful when we asked for a service car to go to Long Beach. This hotel is only 5 mins walk to metro and Universal Studio.
Id love to stay here again during my next visit to LA.

This property is very poorly run and I would recommend avoiding this hotel at all cost. The staff believes guests are clients and not guests. When we had a plumbing concern they handed us a plunger. I can live with that but when we left behind a small notebook the refused to ship it back to us at our expense and the GM will not return phone calls. The staff states in order to get our property we would need to return to CA to pick up the item in person. Attempts to find the owner were fruitless. Highly recommend avoiding this property and owners if you read this please consider additional training for your staff and hire a GM that understands hospitality.

I just stayed one night. Very nice staff and so enjoyed my massage...no waiting and no appt. necessary. I also enjoyed my free glass of wine during happy hour and the coffee in my room. The hotel was very close to the on ramp to 101 making getting to downtown L.A. easy. The only negative thing was having to pay $15 for parking.

Room Tip: My room was in the back. There was light coming in the window, but no street noise.

We found this hotel to be excellent for comfort, space, cleanliness and service as well as just a 5 minutes walk to the Universal Studio's shuttle bus stop. The local Metro station is also 5 minutes away with only one stop to Hollywood Boulevard and the walk of fame. The only down side was the lack of a restaurant - just a snack bar beside the drinks bar. However, there is a good little Italian restaurant close by as well as others a short drive up the road. There is also a take-away service with deliveries to your room from local pizza places, etc. The parking was perhaps a little expensive at $15 a day. You can park outside for free but without the security.
The heating for the indoor pool wasn't working while we were there but this was just a temporary glitch and we would definately use the hotel again.
