We love this little hotel and have stayed here perhaps a half dozen times. Indeed, we've been remiss not to write a review. The valet and bell men could not be any more gracious and kind, and the front desk staff as well. My room wasn't ready when I arrived before noon this trip, and the manager very kindly provided me an alternate room to freshen up and change my clothes. Everyone here goes out of their way to please very consistently. The service is classically Italian, a bit slow sometimes but delivered with extraordinary warmth and hospitality. The hotel itself is understated, contemporary, and chic. The lobby bar is fabulous, and of course who can go wrong eating at any Cipriani restaurant. This one is lovely, with it's mahogany tones and soft pink linens. It's an easy walk--about 20 minutes--into downtown Beverly Hills or to Century City, but the hotel has a complementary car service as well, to take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius. Be sure to tip Angel or Art very nicely. We adore the management folks here, especially Brando!

The rooms are simply wonderful, and we recommend the Beverly Hills premier view. A comfortable king size bed with a desk and sitting area make it plenty spacious, and the balcony is simply delightful...I am sitting on it now enjoying the spectacular view of Century City and the hills. The bathroom is definitely a little tight for two, but workable thanks to the little vanity right outside. A corner room has a second closet. The furniture is wrapped in leather--we love the look of it, like very good luggage! We definitely recommend to the business or casual traveler!

Fresh, clean and solid luxury rooms. The beds are wonderful, the furniture is heavy and just feels good (leather, thick woods), and the staff is very accomodating to your every request. Love the check in process with the Bellini and personal attention. If you go, stay a few days and just sit around watching all the pretty people walk around or the gorgeous cars that pull up. While the pool area is small, they've done a good job of trying to create a relaxing zone - tip, bring your headphones and listen to music as the street behind does get a bit noisy with cars/trucks zooming by.

Room Tip: Higher and face north - while the balcony doors are triple paned and keep out the noise, once you op...

This hotel was booked blindly by me after reading a few reviews online. What a stroke of luck awaited us!! The first thing I noticed upon arriving was the gorgeous grounds. The furniture at the front entrance was lovely & a great place to enjoy an evening glass of wine. The room was one of the most gorgeous I've ever been in!! Italian leather covered the sofa, arm chair and bed frame! The lighting was more than adequate and could be adjusted to one's taste. We had the view overlooking Beverly Hills which was stunning. The house keeping staff stayed ontop of their game and provided an immaculate room with nightly turndown. This being said about the property, I must say, that the entire staff is what will have us returning in the near future! From the valet to the pool workers, I've never encountered a more accommodating staff anywhere! I excitedly await our return to Mr. C!!

Room Tip: The higher you go,obviously the quieter the rooms. All rooms have spacious balconies to take in the...

We arrived at 4:00 and told room was not ready - didn't get our room until 5:30. No offer of complimentary food or drinks - left to our own devices in the interim - unacceptable for a 5* hotel.

Charges added to our room that we did not incur - cancelled upon request. Told we had to check out after two nights when we had reservation for three nights. Was forced to provide confirmation of reservation.

Room was nice with a great view of L.A. and Hollywood sign. But, floors were wooden and walls were too thin so heard all of the late night stuff.

$350 rental for the cabana for the day is a bit much.

Good location but many details lacking for a supposed 5 * hotel.

Room Tip: Spend a bit more on the upgrade to get a good view of L.A. and the Hollywood sign.

Rooms are nicely designed with copies of modern classic pieces and immaculate. Views are very nice on the Beverly Hills side. Floor-to-ceiling sliders open up on to your balconies to allow you to take it in fully. Beds are very comfortable - although we normally prefer firmer mattresses, theirs was relatively soft, but we had no back pain issues and slept very well. Service in general was good, but nothing extraordinary.

Although we had a good experience here, we think many things could have gone very wrong had we stayed much longer.

The hotel premises are very well put together and maintained. We had a suite facing Beverly Hills side. If you get a room on the other side of the building, it opens up onto Pico Blvd, which can get very noisy. The Pico view itself isn't great and there isn't much sun. On the other hand, the entry to the hotel is on the Beverly Hills side, and if you're in the lower floors, be prepared to deal with noise and smoke from the entry area at night as party goers mill about there.

The hotel is supposed to be smoke-free. On the morning of our check-out, the smell of smoke infiltrated almost the entirety of our suite. The smoke was clearly coming from another room. We brought this up to the front desk and all they could do was apologize. Apparently they have a penalty for smoking, but this is clearly not well enforced and the policy is not brought to the guests' attention upon check-in. Rooms don't have much in terms of fabrics so smoke smells don't linger too long, but still very unpleasant to wake up to that.

Noise is also a potential problem. There are area rugs, but rooms have wooden floors. We were fortunate that our neighbors weren't walking around at all hours in shoes, but it was very easy to hear the clomping of shoes when someone was walking around. Also kids crying could be heard through the walls very clearly and we did not have any connecting doors.

Showers were low-flow. Jacuzzi tub wasn't working properly - kept going on and off by itself.

Service in the restaurant was questionable - they're trying to give you European 5* service, but they're not quite getting it right. You might spend 5 minutes explaining what you want, and they'll say they understand, and even repeat what you asked for, but then you get exactly what you said you didn't want.

Also, inquire about events. On several days of our stay, the hotel was buzzing with event activity, which even closed off the pool to guests. When they cater to the events, individual guests might get short changed on service.

Overall, it was almost there - almost as if they were trying to give you that vibe of a visit to the Amalfi coast. However, if you're accustomed to impeccable service in luxury hotels, and won't tolerate anything less, these little potential hazards might be a dealbreaker.

Room Tip: Beverly Hills view side way better than Pico Blvd side.

Mr C is a very nice hotel located on the edge of Beverly Hills. We stayed in a premium room with a view of Bervely Hills. The room was white and very nice. We especially loved the balcony and the view of Beverly Hills. We could even see the Hollywood sign. The beds were also exceptional. Furthermore all of the staff were very nice and acommodating. I recommend booking a room with a view of Beverly Hills as the other side of the hotel faces a rather busy road. However the view did seem nice from that side as well as Mr C is one of the few tall buildings in the neighbourhood.

On the downside our room had a weird smell which we recognized every time we entered. We did not address this issue at the front desk as the inconvenience was limited. Furthermore the room was not ready when we arrived at 3.30 pm. It should however be noted that we were taken to the pool area in a nice cabana where we could wait for our room with some nice bellini's. At the pool party the next day the cabana's cost USD 200 each which we felt was a bit expensive. Would have given the hotel 4.5 if possible. Will definitely consider staying here again as it is excellent value.

Room Tip: Choose a room with Beverly Hills view to avoid traffic outside your window
