“Great stay ”
Reviewed 23 December 2013 via mobile

Hotel is a great choice in the LA area. Rooms are extremely clean and very elegant the lobby was a great place to hang with friends with great drinks and service from the bar. Also nice house car that takes you 3 miles which is basically anywhere in the Beverly Hills neighborhood. Staff were all great. Can't wait to be back

I'll admit, I was a little skeptical of this place because it looked like a real "boutique" hotel. I've been to those before, and I'm usually disappointed.

This is not a boutique hotel. While it does have some definite charm, it is really a full scale 4 or even 5 star type hotel. And you'll pay for it.

The check in process was exactly as described by other reviewers here. They bring you into the main lobby, sit you at the bar, and offer you free drinks while they check you in. I've never experienced that at any other hotel, and it's a nice touch. We had an issue because they did not have our reservation in their system. (Apparently it was an issue with the site I booked it on (booking.com). They booked in for Dec 2014!) While this was not the hotels fault, they really did not handle it properly, almost making it seem like it was my fault even though I showed them the reservation confirmation with the right dates. Eventually, I was able to procure the correct room and we were on our way.

The room is really nice. We stayed in a premium room double w/ a beverly hills view. The view is simply incredible.

But therein lies the problem with this hotel. You NEED to stay in a beverly hills view room. The other side of the hotel is garbage. The rooms are nice, but the view is horrible and it's so loud from the street noise that it's not worth staying.

The service overall is really great and professional, with the same level you'd expect at other five star resorts.

The entire hotel has a great motif, with white accents and cool art, without being too pretentious or hipster. That's hard to pull off, but they did. Kudos to the designer/interior decorator.

Our toilet became clogged twice over the 2 nights we were there, and were fixed both times. I have a feeling it was from bad plumbing and not anything on our end.

The valet service is expensive (35 dollars/day) but really, really well run. Our car was waiting in under 5 minutes each and every time we asked for our car, which was quite often. They even offered to keep our in their garage because we wanted to keep the top down and we were worried about rain. They also have a text valet service where you just text your valet number and they get your car without you calling. This did not work when we tried it.

Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom (rain shower:)) was awesome. They have an Ipod radio, but like all other hotels I've been to recently, it only takes the older model ipods/iphones.

Overall, this is a really well run, service oriented, and gorgeous hotel. The only problem is they pigeon hole you into paying more for the beverly hills view, which really is more of a necessity than an upgrade.

Room Tip: Don't book if you can't get the beverly hills view. Not worth it.

Welcoming, stylish, and very well run. Would thoroughly recommend this excellent hotel where management seem to have trained their staff to perfection and have got the ambience just right. Perhaps J Zakee, the Operations Director of La Quinta who didnt even bother replying to my email ought to stay here to brush up on advanced hospitality skills.

Great hotel. Going from the website picture od a big white building, was a tad sceptical, but a LHW promotion drew me in. Good choice. About $1 million in cars parked by entrance... in 4 cars. New S550 Mercedes appear to be the cheap stuff here. Very good check in. Upgraded to a great suite. Wonderful view, if you want to look out over Beverly Hills. Restaurant service and food very good. Excellent octopus for lunch. Staff top notch. I'll be back

I travel alot and have stayed at most hotels in Beverly Hills, which are very stuffy and all the hip hotels are just that, more hip than hotel. Just stayed there one night with my wife, one of the best rooms I have seen, evokes a previous era of jetssetting with all the modern amenities. Had a suite, very large, AMAZING views (way better than all BH hotels) really high end furniture pieces and finally a proper rain shower head. Had a massage, though smaller than some hotels, very high end and really felt like your own private spa. My wife gets alot of massages, she says one of the best. Of course you can't beat a Bellini when you check in, too bad we had to leave, was like living a day dream. Even the backgammon set is super high end, highly recommend.

Room Tip: If you can upgrade to the Beverly Hills view, views are good from any floor. A suite is worth it fo...

Mr. C is a fresh in an old Hollywood style with photos of old movie stars, leather, glass and chrome furnishings. Staff was very attentive and helpful, but still quite friendly. Rooms are nicely designed and furnished, but there could be more storage - they were better on the design than on the practicality. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed for two nights at Mr C and loved it, loved it.
The service in this hotel is fantastic. The rooms are beautiful, the bathrooms are a little small but that wasn't an issue. I would suggest spending the little extra it costs for the Beverly Hills view, the city view is a little noisy because you face the highway.

The pool area was great to hang around in after a long flight from Sydney and it wasn't one of those showy LA type pool areas, it didn't feel uncomfortable at all.

Take advantage of the hotel car to get you to some great restaurants around Beverly Hills.
I would stay here again without a doubt.
