I stayed at the Loews Hollywood Hotel for 3 nights for a business conference. It was my first time in L.A. so I splurged on a room with a view of the Hollywood sign. The location was great. You could walk right out of the hotel into an outdoor mall area with shopping and restaurants. Also nearby was the Dolby and Chinese Theaters. The hotel had a nice but small heated swimming pool. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The entire staff was very polite and helpful. The only thing that could have made my stay better would have been free wifi rather than the hotel charging $15 a day. Otherwise it was a very good experience!

OMG this hotel is fantastic, we absolutely loved it. After staying out at Disneyland we moved here to do all the LA attractions. Fantastic location. Kinda part of a shopping mall which has plenty of cafes and restaurants. The Dolby theatre is there too and the Chinese theatre. We had a high room at the rear which overlooked the Hollywood sign and hills from our floor to ceiling windows. The rooms were large, with three of use we had plenty of space. Mum opted for the rollaway bed, she said it was very comfortable, they have certainly improved with a big fat comfy mattress. The rooms very very nicely furnished and had everything we needed. Watch out for the mini bar, it's the kind that has movement pads in them so your touch you buy!! The roof top pool was very nice and relaxing and a great place to kick back with a cocktail, which we also did. The railway station was a short walk away and it is the fastest and best way to get to universal studios. You know this hotel is one of those places that you get that felling that your staying in a special place. I highly recommend this hotel. It is located close to everything. And was well priced. Do it, you won't be disappointed. I'll be back!!

Room Tip: Ask for a high room, you will either get the view we had which was spectular or a city view which I...

Good hotel in a busy part of Hollywood. The rooms are clean and spacious with excellent beds. Staff is friendly, hotel bar is below what is should be for a place like this. Internet was poor (maybe just bad luck) which is inconvenient when on business and $15/day. Staff waived the cost when I complained which was very professional.
The big set back for hotels like this is the parking. The hotel only has valet which is too expensive and the parking garage next to the hotel is $13/day without any hote discount. The hotel should get a seperate section and provide for free or a serious discount.

Did not really enjoy my time here. Geographic location is nice if you want spend a lot of time on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but other than that, I would look elsewhere. Rooms are large enough, but bathrooms were badly outdated and somehow never managed to get the funky smoke smell out of the bathroom, despite repeated attempts on their part. I suspect the venting most be old and smoke was seeping in from floor above or below. Lobby bar offered nothing interesting, although the next door mall did offer plenty of opportunities. Staff was friendly, especially the valets and bell hops, saving the hotel from a worse rating.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Great location close to subway station (Hollywood/Highland) and popular tourist attractions like the Hollywood walk of fame and the Kodak Theater. The staff here were excellent and the room was extremely clean. Free wifi was good, although was only in the hotel foyer and not available in our room.

We got a great deal on Priceline for this hotel. The rooms are very nice and the beds are extremely comfortable The hotel is very well located in the middle of Hollywood. The Walk of Fame and Kodak theater are within walking distance. The hotel is also a very short cab ride to West Hollywood. The staff are very polite and professional. We will definitely consider staying here again !

We stayed here when it was the Holiday Inn Hollywood - so some time ago now, but as it is now, it was still then fabulous! The movie Calendar Girls was filmed in the Panorama Suite, and when it was being remodelled, Blast From The Past, was filmed here too......look out for it. I sent a Thank You card to the staff following our visit (which happened to be late November) and received the most glamorous Christmas card from the Manager! In a Gold envelope, just like the Oscars!! We loved our stay here, and even though it was a long time back now, would love to return....thankfully, it looks like it has been carefully re-furbed, and not lost its character. It's a pity that the paintings in the foyer have gone. They depicted the classic movie stars, and the etched glass behind the restaurant, and near the reception desk, featured Marilyn Monroe. It was quite unique! I'm so glad to see the standard has remained high. We have praised this place for many years. Do stay there if you can!
