The best thing about the hotel is certainly the location and the courteous staff. The hotel is 1 minute walk from the famous Hollywood Blvd and 2 minute walk to the red underground line. So if you're not using a car in LA, this is a hotel to choose. Public transport is within a walking distance.
Our room 1715 overlooked the Hollywood sign and was rather quiet. You could still hear people talking in the neighbouring rooms. It was also a bit small however very clean. It had a minibar with pricey drinks.
We didn't eat at the hotel (not even breakfast), there are plenty restaurants around to grab something to eat.
Would stay at this hotel again however for a lower rate. But I can definitely recommed the stay in Loews Hollywood.

We had stayed in other Loews hotels, and liked the brand, so when visiting L.A for the first time, and seeing it was located in Hollywood, it made sense. The location is great for that part of the city. We had a great stay - it's a super slick efficient hotel which is immaculate and modern throughout. Given the location it is busy, but it generates a buzz, rather than being a problem.

Check-in was super slick and friendly, and the room was excellent - well equipped and in pristine condition. Bathroom was really good. The beds were super comfortable. We had booked a high floor with a Hollywood sign view - which was exactly what we got.

Valet parking was smooth and efficient, but at $40 per day, it darn well should be !

Concierge made a couple of restaurant suggestions, and these proved to be excellent. All staff throughout the hotel were super friendly - in fact, I found a housekeeper and asked her if she had any spare coffee capsules, she obliged, and absolutely refused my tip of a few dollars. That doesn't often happen to me.

With the kids in the room using their iPads on the fast free WiFi, my wife and I headed off to the bar every night after dinner. The bar area is unremarkable, though stylish, but the quality of the cocktails and the bartenders was excellent. Obviously you pay $$$ for it, but that is to be expected. Only comment was the bar hostess, who seemed fairly aloof and dis-interested, but it didn't spoil it at all. Another minor observation was that why do hotels allow people who have checked out to sit around the lobby on their luggage, eating pizza and such like ? - it had the feel of an airport with delayed flights.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, and would stay again.

Stayed with family recently at the Loews Hotel after finding reviews in this site- broken tile in bathroom secured with a blue tape to hold it? Breakfast- plenty of empty tables and staff working hard but hostess asked us to wait stating there are no tables available?? Breakfast poor value for $ 26. Staff pleasant however, Concierge did not know local shopping centres and said' sorry I do not travel by bus that far' which is okay but her role is to provide maps and assistance to people - she googled and gave the map which is precisely what I could have done myself- cab to airport(independent taxis) took the long road to LAX and paid the price of not getting any tip?
Lift your game guys

Room Tip: Free Wifi- very slow so there is a catch

We came here to print some tickets at the FedEx centre located in this hotel. Unfortunately we were 10 min late and they had just closed. Jaclyn at the frontdesk was super nice and helped us out with a big smile even though we were not staying in the hotel. Thank you Jaclyn Sliver, much appreciated!

We arrived in the dark and, not used to driving on American roads, I thought it would be difficult to find and park, but not at all. We approached from the direction of the interstate and turned easily into the parking garage. We'd been told parking was $40 a day, but that turned out to be valet parking. Just park on another level down and it's $13 for up to 24 hours - very good value.

Our room were 503 and 515 which were at the back of the hotel and faced the hills where I could clearly see the Hollywood sign (from 515). The rooms themselves were reasonably large, clean and decorated in a cool grey scheme. The room had a massive TV, desk, a useful bedside light with usb socket to charge your phone, small fridge with a lock - no key in the teenagers' room, so they couldn't take advantage of the fridge. Don't know why staff couldn't just have emptied the fridge of alcohol.

The pool was great - though not very deep - four feet at most, but a reasonable size considering it was on a rooftop. It was open from 6am-11pm, but closed for private parties on at least two nights we were there, which was annoying, especially as it didn't seem to be being used. The same during the day, when the daybeds were reserved, but nobody used them. There was a poolside bar - expensive, but you could take your own stuff and nobody said anything.

The hotel is in a complex that has lots of shops, bars and restaurants. I imagine it would be noisy on that side, but can't comment from experience. A short walk through the complex and you're on Hollywood Boulevard looking at the stars on the pavement. Lots of tacky touristy things, but that's what Hollywood is about. You could get your picture taken with any one of several Captain Jack Sparrows, Supermen, Spidermen etc.

We didn't eat in the hotel, but there's plenty to choose from nearby and also little shops/convenience stores for snacks etc.

The staff were helpful, but unobtrusive - just what you want.

Each room had free wifi for up to three devices and worked well enough. You could upgrade to paid wifi and there was also a business suite where you could work if necessary.

There was a spa and exercise facilities, with classes. The free toiletries in the lovely bathrooms were replenished pretty much daily, but they still left the old ones, so you were spoilt for bubbles, shampoo and body lotion. hairdryer and iron/ironing board were provided.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back have a view of the Hollywood sign. Rooms at the side and front are noisier

Thank you so much for this very thoughtful and thorough review! Sounds like you had a wonderful stay with your family and got to enjoy a bubble bath or two. Also glad you loved the location and found it very easy to get here and park late at night in the dark. Thanks for your additional feedback, and we're sharing with the team. We hope to see you again on your next LA visit.

This is a hotel filled with tourists and the flimsy walls make it very noisy. I asked for a quiet room because i needed some relaxation. Was given a room placed near hotel mechanics, loud toddlers & people partying that kept me up especially from 3-4am. Hotel security was finally able quiet down upstairs noise after another phone call, but, never apologized for my inconvenience for the "far from quiet setting". The upgraded room we purchased was nicely decorated and comfortable. The location is excellent if you are interested in being a part of the Hollywood tourist action. Not my idea of a relaxing California vacation spot. I would head to less congested area for that. Amenities at hotel are limited, however, they are surrounded by numerous bars, restaurants etc.
