Perfect if you want to stay close to the most touristy location in Los Angeles.
Clean and a very lovely staff. The kitchen caretaker is forever in my heart.
A bit expensive compared to other places. But nice beds. Clean and close to the walk of fame.

Location is great! Just round the corner from the Chinese theatre and Hollywood Blvd. the hostel decor is really nice and our room was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast is always a bonus, but there was not milk for the musli so it kinda had to be waffles or pancakes. The kitchen is far too small for the size of the hostel. Wifi worked well and was free to use. The double bed in our room was actually really small for a double bed, but it wasn't too much of an issue. Our room was right next to the toilet though, at first I didn't think this would be a problem as there seemed to be a bathroom to every three rooms, however, it seemed that rather than use the bathroom nearest to their room some people walked down the hall to use the one right next to us, which meant it was busy all the time. It also meant that if people used it late at night it woke us up, either by them slamming the door of just the flush would wake us. So overall we didn't get the best nights sleep here. Apart from the slamming doors this place was really quiet though which was good. Maps and ideas of things to do in lobby is handy, but their walking instructions to see the Hollywood sign make no sense and the map was a little difficult to read.

We stayed here for our first night in LA. The location is unbeatable if you're looking for budget accommodation close to Hollywood Boulevard and all the entertainment near by. We loved the hostel so much we changed our accommodation so that we could stay here again when we return in a few days time.
We found our room a bit noisy but we were in room 7 right in the middle of the hallway so there's a lot if traffic with people going to their rooms, other than that we loved it and can't wait to return

The location is 2nd to none if you want to stay in Hollywood! It's 100 yards from Hollywood Boulevard and the Chinese Theater. But in a quiet residential street. Quirky rooms with beautiful old furniture. I had a very spacious double room that could easily have fitted 6 bunks. Was very pleasant. Good free WiFi reception. Free lockers for valuables. Small kitchen with free tea and coffee available. There was free breakfast on offer which I did not try. Plenty of showers and toilets dotted around the building. Always one available I found. Place clean and good value. Staff efficient and helpful, if not particularly friendly. No A/C, but no problem when I was there. Just opened a window. It's a quiet area. Not easy to find as no sign outside to indicate it is a hostel. Maybe better for security? I found it a very "different" type of hostel; old world & quirky. And great value for money!

Room Tip: Had room 11 downstairs. Beautiful furniture, and quite spacious for a hostel. No bathroom, but plent...

Excellent location, cleanliness, and service.

Recently stayed for six nights sharing a private room with my 21 yo son.

Hostel is an old rambling house with lots of natural light and a surprisingly laid back and quiet atmosphere.

Conveniently located for Hollywood and Griffith observatory. Downtown is easily accessible on the subway whilst Santa Monica and the Getty are quite easy (bearing in mind this is LA) to reach.

Have already recommended this hostel to friends and other family members.

This was a really pretty little hostel, in amongst huge buildings and just around the corner from the walk of fame. It seemed out of place- like it should have been a gardeners cottage in Downton Abbey, not the centre of Hollywood. Great facilities, very clean, staff were lovely, free waffles were great, I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to get in the midst of the Hollywood thing. Very close to a really pretty hiking trail.

The environment of the hostel is warm and nice. There is also courtyard for you to enjoy sunshine. Room size is at the average. There is a small kitchen allows you to do simple cooking. Breakfast of pancake (do it yourself) is provided. The location is at the heart of Hollywood. You need to be careful to look for the hostel since there is no signal. It is located near the end of orange drive.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the ground floor where have enought sunlight. It is also convenient to go to the k...
