Wow! By far the best Indian restaurant in L.A. It outshines Tandori Nights, Clay Pit, Bombay Palace, Electric Lotus. Infact, its not even close. I must admit the restaurant is small and lacks in ambiance. I must also admit that downtown L.A. may not be your ideal eating spot but this place is definately worth your trip. The draw is definately the food. If that's not good enough then go for the prices. The prices are extremely reasonable. You'll save enough to experiment with multiple dishes. A warning - make sure you specify how strong you want your seasonings. Hot is HOT, tears in your eyes hot. Medium is hot in about 80 percent of most restaurants. Mild is perfect. But don't worry. With the money that you save you'll be able to cool down with a mango lassi or a scoop of some pistachio ice cream.
