“Quick trip”
Reviewed 28 October 2013 via mobile

Had a one day trip from the east coast and chose to stay close to LAX. The staff was extremely helpful and had great recommendations for meals. Rooms and hotel comfortable and what you expect from Marriott. Definitely will stay at this location again.

The best hotel near LAX is the Courtyard LAX Century Blvd. Friendly staff and Great clean rooms makes this the hotel of choice. Less than a 1000 feet from the Airpoirt makes this very fast and handy when you are late and rushing to make that flight. Good lounge and restaurant. You have to try this hotel just for the good service

Room Tip: I like the rooms on the east side of the building as I then know when morning sunrise comes.

What I liked is the free chips and drinks on arrival as I was a bit hungry and there is nothing much around by walk for dinner. Rooms are fine, large but nothing special to mention. Typical chain hotel.

I had a one-day layover at LAX and chose Courtyard by Marriott/LAX Century Boulevard, based on reviews on TA. The hotel is very close to LAX and, although they have a free shuttle every 15 min, you can walk to the hotel from Terminal 2 in just 10 min. Although check-in is 3 pm, I was able to check-in early at 12 noon and was given a very nice room on the top floor (#700). The room was spacious and well-appointed. It had a lot of glass block on one wall but no drapes so, for anyone wanting to sleep in, this would not be a good choice of room. But for me, I loved the extra light which the glass block provided to the room and the bathroom. This hotel has obviously undergone a recent renovation and everything is fresh. The lack of a formal dining area was a bit unusual for me. This hotel has a "bistro" thing going which is new to me and I'm unsure as to whether this is normal for the hotel group or is new. I'm not convinced that it works but, for a layover, it's fine. There's not much else to do at this hotel and it doesn't seem too easy to get to other parts of LA from here so it's probably only useful for a layover. I did take one hop-on-hop-off tour to Manhattan Beach and some shopping areas which filled in my time nicely but, other than that, you're pretty-well stuck at the airport. I'd have no hesitation at booking this hotel again, if I had a layover.

Used this hotel for a stopover at LAX. Reasonable rate and convenient frequent free shuttle to terminals. Lovely room on fifth floor, large and beautifully decorated. Great views from window. Large bed, sofa sitting area and high quality TV. Again the bathroom was large and stylish but that was where style dominated against function, annoyingly. No flat space next to the basin for personal toiletries etc, and an electrical socket alarmingly near the wet areas. The tap was horribly clunky and uncomfortable to use and the shower was fiddly and not good - we couldn't figure out why there were two contraptions here.

Breakfast was included but a complicated set of rules allowed you a few cold prepackaged items or a few hot ones so not very helpful.

i needed a hotel before an early morning flight out of LAX. the room was very spacious, with a great big window. it was so clean and comfortable and i slept so well here, it made me wish my flight from left later in the day. we were able to quickly collect the rental car from the valet the next morning and dash off to the airport. i would stay at this hotel again for sure.

I was dreading going into the hotel, as some of the reviews were not that great. But it turned out to be a perfect hotel for overnight stay, between flights. The shuttle service to the airport is prompt and regular (every 15 mts or so), the rooms are nice and the staff is very helpful.

They do not have room service or a restaurant, but have a bistro that opens at certain times of the day. I called them to place the order for pick up, and they were busy. The front desk person Cathy picked up my call instead, and was willing to pass on my order to the bistro. I appreciated that.

I didn't have time to use their gym or the pool, but went for a walk around the block in the evening and it was fine. All in all, a good stay.
