I booked the Villa Delle Stelle for the last 3 nights of our honeymoon about a year ago after reading the excellent reviews it had on trip advisor. It didn't disappoint.

We arrived weary after an epic trip round California, and walked in to find a bottle of red wine, a bagette and the most ripe brie I could imagine. Even a pinkt of mils and some chocs were waiting too. Perfect!

We stayed in the Parissien suite, which is beautiful. To the poster who commented on having to get our of bed for the lights, we found that too! The suite is very luxurious, just having a kettle, and begin supplied with PG tips teabags after 2 weeks of naff tea made in a coffee maker was amazing (sorry I sound so old and English).

The suite had everything we could think of to make the stay special. The only thing I can suggest it to have a computer available, as it took us hours to find somewhere to access the internet to book tickets for Universal as we would get an extra day free that way.

LA itself was not as great as I had imagined, maybe at the end of our journey it was just a bit too much hard work! We enjoyed the movie star homes tour, and seeing the sights of Rodeo Drive and Beverley Hills. The folder in the suite was so well thought out, full of info, maps ect. it came in very handy.

We had an SUV, which fit in the space fine, right by the door, so not sure what the problems others have mentioned were.

We stayed in the bungalow, and thought it was truly a home away from home.My wife and I were greeted like we were old friends who dropped by . The accommodations were spacious and comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom a delightful step back in time and fully functional down to the last detail. The courtyard was a perfect place to relax and unwind after a hustle bustle day of sight seeing. Parking was tight but adequate for a small car. The dryer did not work, which was disappointing, but an adequate on- the- premises alternate was made available. This wasn't quite as convenient but considering the perfection of the rest of the experience, we were more than satisfied. The location is on the edge of the main attractions in West Hollywood - I think just close enough via the DASH to make it easily accessible, and far enough away to escape and wind down. LA is such a huge city that I think a car is absolutely necessary but the DASH loops conveniently through all of Hollywood and stops just around the corner from the villa.
Brogan and Michael were so welcoming and accommodating, and the bungalow so comfortable and relaxing that I can not imagine a better "hotel" experience. This truly was a home away from home.

BEAUTIFUL....Were from the UK and stayed at the bungalow suite for 6 nights in August...We arrived in LA after a wonderful 10 hour drive from San Francisco along the coast road. Villa de Stelle is a real home from home in a perfect location for exploring the whole of LA. The bungalow has everything you will need including BBQ, every utensil you need for cooking etc. The huge bed was amazing and the decor was also very tasteful. The courtyard was also great for those lovely hot LA evenings, humming birds made a regular appearance and i was also lucky enough to come face to face with a racoon one evening. I was surprised to read another review which said that the tumble dryer didnt work which affected their stay?? LA tempreatures this time of year are in their 90s dry your clothes outside, we did. We had a problem with the alarm one evening and we left a message on the office phone outside of hours, less than an hour later Brogan herself popped in and helped sort the problem out (thanks Brogan). Despite what we heard about Hollywood as an area we found it fine. Common sense is needed when out at night but this goes for any major city. We didnt experience any problems when out at night. Everything you need is nearby including restaurants, supermarkets and all tourist attractions. The onsite parking is also very handy we had a 7 seater people carrier and had no problems parking this in the allocated space. Staying at Villa de Stelle made our stay in LA and we cant wait to go back. We will be staying here for sure.

After our battle with the LA traffic it was a lovely place to find waiting for us. A real touch of Hollywood glamour! Not only wine and cheese, but fresh coffee, herbal teas, the basic condiments, washing up liquid and dishwasher detergent all available to use. All the equipment of a great standard – even a kettle and teapot. Very quiet while we were there. Our only quibble in the main bedroom was that we had to get out of bed to put out the bedside lights – or did we miss something? Other than that, we can’t fault the Parisienne Suite. Many thanks to Samantha and Brogan.

This is my family's second year coming to Villa Delle Stelle. We stayed 15 nights last year and liked the acommodations so much that we made sure to stay here again for another 15 nights this year. The decor is beautiful and every corner has been paid attention to. The kitchen is perfect for extended vacations with my family. There's a cuisinart/blender, microwave, toaster, full updated gas stove/oven with all the utensils for cooking that you would need. There is wireless high speed internet in each room and a multi purpose fax/copier/printer which has come in handy. We've been able to print out movie and show tickets that we've ordered online while here. The bathroom is stocked with a nice blow dryer, curling iron and full size shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The towels are much more plush than any hotel I've stayed in before. They definitely beat the Hyatt. Two soft bathrobes are in the closets stocked with nice wooden hangers. I could easily 'move in'. There is a parking space for everyone and it is a bit tight for several of the suites, but a relief since there really isn't any 'free' parking in Hollywood. The streets in Hollywood are typically 1 hour metered or no parking at most times of the day. The area is in the middle of Sunset Blvd and Hollywood Blvd and yes it is a a busy area but we expected lots of city noises. If you want to stay in Hollywood, or any other big city there is a lot of hustle and bustle. My son, daughter and I took a walk down our street one night to watch a film being shot nearby and felt relatively safe. The houses on our street are all very cute and well kept. Brogan and Samantha with Villa Delle Stelle are a pleasure to work with! My son attends a film school in the summers and this is the perfect place for us to be staying. We appreciate all the attention to detail and the comfortable stay. We'll be back. I have actually stayed in 3 of the suites (The English Suite, Parisian and Art Deco). All are nice and styled differently. I have over 40 photos posted of the Parisian and The English suites on www.flickr.com/photos/yarachica .

was realy looking forward to this place. we were stopping in the bunglow and one of the reasons for doing so was that it had a washer dryer and was roughly in the middle of our 3 week trip. the plan was to wash some clothes here and dry them.
assured when booking that dryer instructions were straight forward. they weren't and in fact it seemed not to be working.we did leave a message for the staff but got no response. on the positive side, gorgeous big bed and nicely decrated rooms. a good folder with local info in it was useful.
parking was very difficult and in fact we were blocked in by what we think were neighbours cars at one point.
the other main things that were not too god were to be fair not the hotels fault. the location itself is fine but if you want to make the short walk to the kodak theatre etc, i would not do so. did not feel comfortable or safe. on our first night the neighbours woke us up at about 4am. they seemed to be having a party in the back yard which seemed to be right outside our window.
sorry to say i would not stay here again. lots of good things, eg the bottle of wine, bread and cheese left for your arrival, the decor and the information provided. however the bad things unfortunately out weigh the good

We appreciate the review as we are always looking to make Villa Delle Stelle better for our guests. Since reading this review many of the issues stated have been taken care of.
After being notified that the Bungalow's Washer/Dryer was on the fritz, it has been fixed. It is an older model and we are looking to replace it completely with a new one rather soon.
In regard to the disturbance from the neighbors, we have spoken to them personally about the noise that night and they assured us that it wouldn't happen again. They were extremely apologetic.
As far as the parking, our building was built during a time (1924) when cars were a lot smaller and most people didn't even use them. Therefore, our spots are on the smaller side for today's standards however even our tightest spot can still fit a SUV if necessary.
Last but not least, the location. The thing to keep in mind is that for quite some time Hollywood had fallen into a state of disrepair. Within the past 5 years and moving into the future, the area is being inundated with new multi-use projects, including new office spaces, restaurants, clubs, lounges, apartment complexes, spas, parks and visitor spots. Hollywood is in the midst of getting a "face-lift" and it shocking how rapidly the area is seeing those changes come to life.
I can assure you the area is no different then any other metropolitan area. It does have a typical city's hustle and bustle and cast of characters, but it is safe to stay with us and to walk around the neighborhood.

Let's start off with one word - WOW!! This was the best experience we have ever had when staying out of town. We arrived a bit early and the staff was very accomodating and allowed us to go to the suite early. We stayed in the Parisian Suite and when we walked in, we were in awe. It is absoultely beautiful and very spacious. It is basically an apartment with all of the amenities. The kitchen had all appliances and utensils and the bathroom had shampoo, etc. We had my 15 year old nephew and his friend with us and they both said it was the best "hotel" that they have ever stayed at. The beds were extremely compfortable and we have even asked where to get the sheets because we loved them so much. The weekend we were there was very hot - averaging 100 degrees! The AC was not very strong, but with all of the windows open, it was perfect.
Do not be alarmed by the neighborhood - it is not as nice as the Villa Delle Stelle, but we felt very safe in our Suite.
We recommend this place 100% and will be back!
