This is a gorgeous, well located hotel in Beverly Hills/Century City LA. Very large hotel, very grand lobby, and nice, well kept, clean rooms. We received a great rate, but still received a great corner room with awesome views. My mom even said at one point, "Do they realize we got a great deal? They're treating us like celebrities!" - and she's right, the customer service is by far the best I've received...so professional and polished. I'd suggest you venture out for meals - we racked up $80 on breakfast - while tasty, it is delicious, but we spent about the same at the infamous Ivy. With that said, this is a high-class, four star hotel all the way and I hope to be able to stay again when we return to LA!

lovely spacious rooms, close to Hollywood,Beverly Hills and downtown LA. Great pool and nice gardens along with a beautiful lobby. The concierge is an ex-pat Aussie yay. There is a town car that will drop you off and pick you up within a 5mile radius........the local shopping centre is only 10 minutes walk and has a supermarket, restaurants etc.Our room overlooked fox studios........really handy for a bit of star spotting. We will be booking in again on our next trip to LA.

As other's have said, location is primo for this hotel. It's LA; cars are required. ;-) Service is overall great. Only down part was trying to order room service. I called and told me that someone would call me back. What?? 10 minutes later, we placed an order. Room was clean and well appointed; with excellent balcony views. Only issue with the floor: Wow! some seriously undulating floors. Could have really used a better carpenter and/or carpet installer. Employees were great; accommodating and helpful. Great place, but you pay for it.

Visited straight after a stay in the IC SF SOMO - well what a difference. The IC Century City is amazing - from the friendly and knowledgeable staff to the beautiful rooms, great pool and gym and the amazing lobby. They also have a town car that will take you up to a couple of miles around Century City for free (well you do have to tip). This means that you can be chauffeured to Westfield Century City and Rodeo Drive for a small tip and get picked up as well. Free iced water around the place and there is a lovely outside area (weather permitting) to the left of the restaurant where few people know about. Our room was lovely and the bathroom amazing, walk in robe and guest bathroom. The room service was lovely (though the french onion soup I had was a little salty). Every one else really enjoyed their meal. Very close to Rodeo Drive so its lots of fun strolling around there too. We can't wait to go back next year and enjoy the fabulous hotel again.

Room Tip: Rooms over the pool are great but you also have a view of the Fox backlot which is fine in January a...

I love this hotel. I used to stay there every other week, but my business has not taken me to LA as much of late. The service is phenomenal. The staff is friendly and will bend over backwards to help. The lobby is stunning and I understand that they are renovating the rooms, but as they are they include flat screen TVs, iPod stations and they are comfortable and welcoming. I prefer to stay a bit closer to the elevators in the rooms above XX15. My favorite rooms are the XX28 on upper floors.

Room Tip: The folks behind the front desk are a bit more aloof than they used to be, but if you make it clear...

I've been to hotels with more dramatic entries, faster elevators, larger rooms, more stylish restaurants -- but the LA Intercontinental combines all these elements into a beautifully balanced hotel that has few equals. I probably should give it 5 stars, but I'm taking off 1 star due to the location -- which (in typical LA fashion) requires a drive to get to anything.

The hotel itself was wonderful. Excellent efficient entry and registration. Very helpful staff. Very clean and luxurious rooms. What more can you ask for? Oh yeah, casually elegant restaurant.

The only downside was some weird plumbing failure in the outdoor hot tub. That disappointed the teenagers. Let them suffer.

The Intercontinental is an oasis of civility in a sea of barbarism.

By the way: we were able to afford 2 rooms for a weekend due to a stellar deal on that certain unnamed internet site that allows you to bid your price. Bid low.

Great location! Not far from UCLA, Rodeo Dr. Minutes away from the mall, even complimentary hotel car! Valet was awesome! Wonderful customer service from the gentleman who opened my door down to the cute cashier with a fun name! Parking is a little pricey, but that's expected. Check-in was quick. Staff was welcoming. Had an issue with our shower so we got an room upgrade and complimentary drinks at the bar! Room service menu is limited. Overall, great stay.
