“Great Location, Staff and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

This is one of my favourite places I have stayed recently. The hotel is not spectacular to look at and the rooms are good. Whilst not being spectacular it is definitely a nice hotel to stay at - the room was clean and spacious and the staff were very unobtrusive but excellent whenever I went looking for anything.

Breakfast was pretty good and suited my needs (also has a Japanese breakfast buffet) with cold and hot foods available.

The location is excellent as there are local bus services to the Santa Monica and some other local places though as you are in California the car is king so you may need to hire one.

Area was safe which is always important - it is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

The staff for the whole stay were very pleasant will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Get one of the front rooms for a nice view of the city.

Nice property but mattresses were terrible. Travel frequently for business and pleasure but these were the worst. Had 2 rooms and all had horrible nights. They were very accommodating in switching out the mattresses - which were firm on the edges and then concave in the middle - but to no avail.

Also, had some problems with valet. Would not return here.

We had a lovely room with a sitting area as well, great value for money. The hotel is close to a big shopping centre which is nice for close meals. But we felt a bit isolated as we needed to catch a taxi everywhere to see anything. We walked to Beverly Hills once, but it's along a main road so wasn't the nicest walk. Staff were really great and the concierge fantastic, helping us with bookings etc. If you want to be close to a particular area for sight seeing this May not be the most accessible. Otherwise loved it.

This is a brilliant hotel in a great location. Staff went out of their way to accomodate us and were incredibly friendly.
From the complimentary bottles of water daily to the complimentary town car, we were very spoilt and welcomed.
I would most definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We had a room on a higher level to appreciate the view. Very quiet.

IHG is a lovely hotel, we stayed in a Kings Suite, it was quite large and overlooked Fox Studios. We thought we would be closer to West Hollywood/Beverly Hills, however it's definitely not walking distance. You could walk to the Westfield though, which has great shopping. I felt like we needed a car, so if we stay again that's what I would recommend. Overall, a lovely hotel with nice, spacious, comfortable rooms

Room Tip: A corner room showcases both LA and Fox Studios views

Good hotel with a very friendly staff and good furniture.

The only down point which really affected my stay is the level of the breakfast which is very limited with basic breakfast dishes missing. And the breakfast lounge is always crowded.

Room Tip: don't bather book the breakfast rate

This was my 1st time staying at the Intercontinental Century City. I frequent LA often, typically staying at an IHG property, usually the Crowne Plaza in Beverly Hills. I decided to try this hotel and I think I've found my hotel of choice. 1st impression is a lasting impression and this was probably one of the most pleasant check in experiences I've had, thanks to Malek Gherib. Very professional and accommodating. He did everything he could to make sure my group of friends were able to stay in rooms close by each other and answered all questions we had. Even taught me a few sentences in French so that I could say something to the lovely french women that were checking in at the same time. Ha.... The property is beautiful and centrally located. Will definitely repeat. Thanks Malek and staff.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms are awesome
