I stayed here in early December for a meeting at UCLA. The hotel is in a quiet part of L.A. (if this exists)--in Century City on the Westside, As an Ambassador member-- I was upgraded to a suite on the 17th floor--very elegant and stylish! Service was outstanding throughout. The restaurant was excellent with friendly and helpful staff.

I have been to Southern California on multiple occasions and have stayed in many hotels. This is one of the best, and I look forward to stay here on my next visit.

This is the best hotel i stayed in during a recent visit to the USA. Check in staff very polite and efficient and Bell very helpful without being overbearing like some. Very personal service by all and outstanding concierges.

Spacious roome with nice views and lovely bathrooms. Get a room with sundeck, preferably east-facing. Don't worry about price of water - go just up the road to Westfield (get a lift in the house car!) and buy from there. Good restaurants and shopping there too. Plenty of room in the in-room fridges.

If there were any complaints, and they should NOT be considered if you are thinking of staying here:
- Not a great menu at restaurant
- Location means cabs to Hollywood, downtown, theme parks, etc are a little expensive if you don't have a car. Use tours booked by concierge as much as possible to save some $$$. However, this means it is in a nice quiet spot if you won't be away from the hustle and bustle and is a little closer to LAX and beaches then most.

Stayed for 3 nights and had a good stay. The foyer is amazing, the bathroom is spacious, the bed is great, the room is a little dated but very clean. The valet parking seems excessive after paying a good price for the room but after staying in a few places, that's typical LA - get used to it. The pool, spa, steam and sauna are great. The location is central if you want to experience Hollywood and Beverly Hills.

We stayed here during a long weekend in November 2010. The lobby was beautiful and the rooms were nicely redone (supposedly they were recently updated). The whole place we very clean. The check-in staff was great. Willing to help out in any way they could (they let me use a computer to print a document out and to check-in for our flight and print boarding pass). They have great outdoor seating (with fire pits) perfect for happy hour drinks.

They have a house car which will drive you any where within a 10 minute radius for free. We used it A LOT - they brought us to our friend's wedding in Beverly Hills, the mall (which is a close walk but we were lazy), and even breakfast. They will even come pick you up if you call the concierge. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk from a giant outdoor mall with very upscale stores and restaurants. The only thing that we didn't like was the $30 for parking per night

Yes, Century City is a monstous wasteland (despite the mall), especially at night, when it is just a cavern with empty office buildings. But I knew that going in. The Intercontinental tries to be high-end offering, but falls short. From not having my information at check-in to a welcome "gift" of fruit that had previously been used as garnish on the sushi bar in the lobby (sushi and smell still attached!) to car service that, without notice, stops running as promised, there are too many minuses. We asked to have our bed linens changed; never happened. We asked for wash cloths--ANY wash cloths, since the room cleaner AND turn down attendant both failed to leave any; never got any. Nice, if typically overpriced breakfast, but that's not enough. It's elsewhere for us next month when we go back to L.A>

I've been on a whirlwind tour for business across the US and have stayed at some great spots. This one wasn't so hot. Front desk guys were very friendly but carpet, bed duvet, and bathroom walls were dirty - yuck. Room is average. Room service food just okay. Expensive forced valet. Fitness room was pretty good. I really object to my Home/Menu page of the TV system having a default setting of scantily clad women reminding me (in lusty voice, naturally) that my hotel bill won't reflect porn charges. Really? That's my greeting? Good thing the kids aren't here with me! Yuck again. Wish I could be more positive, but what is it with L.A.? There must be somewhere fabulous to stay. This is not it. Needed to be in Century City and this was supposedly better than the Hyatt. Hmmmm.....

When looking at hotels in LA they all seemed very expensive including this one, however we got a good deal on their website for 4 nights in a junior suite including breakfast. ON arrival we were greeted by the valet and doorman, and taken to check in, all were extremely friendly and genuine. The check in process was simple and we were shown to our room.
The room was a great size and I'm glad we upgraded, it had all the amenities you would expect from a hotel of this standard. I still object to paying for wireless, something which is all to common with ICH group hotels and I really think they need to stop charging for it. Cleanliness and comfort of the room were fantastic, my only criticism and I'm being picky here, is that the decor was well worn in places. Torn wall paper on low corners in the room and slightly dowdy looking curtains did mar the otherwise warm and modern feel of the room.
Breakfast was excellent, expensive if you didnt have it included. Staff here were great, one chap was a little bizarre, friendly but over familiar and kept telling us about his other jobs (comedian I think he said) and his travel, and gave us his business card. This I found off putting, but as I say food was great and service matched this.
Overall hotel staff were great, the concierge was amazing and helped us with restaurant bookings and activities. Again if I had a criticism it would be that the front desk staff could be a little cold, at one point I felt I had to apologise in asking for their help.
The hotel itself is lovely, very nicely designed and we really did enjoy our stay here. The pool and gym area were great. It does feel a bit "removed" from LA due to its surroundings and you definitely need a car if you stay here but I would highly recommend this hotel. It was actually quite nice to come back to after a day in crazy LA! The quiet relaxed feel of the place helped to make us feel very comfortable and welcome. They have a car service which was brilliant and we used this to take us into Beverly Hills for dinner a couple of times.
Good points, great hotel, lovely mordern decor, overall friendly staff-nothing was too much trouble.
Bad points, extra costs like wireless and the extorntionate valet parking charge! BE AWARE ITS $35 A DAY!!!! You cannot park your own car and this wasn't mentioned on the ICH website, if I had known this I may not have booked as I felt paying an extra $140 plus tips everytime you needed the car was a step too far!
Overall a great stay slightly marred by the hidden charges but if you can get past those then this is a great place to stay.
