Looking for a place to lunch on the way to LAX, we came upon the Big Mango Cafe in the Playa Vista area. It's open from 8:30 to 2:30, just off a busy street, on a quiet road across from a park. There is ample outdoor seating, along with couches and a big table inside. The service was friendly and patient (as we drooled over the menu at the counter). We got two wraps - specials of the day and one BBQ brisket sandwich and an order of the brussels sprouts slaw. The wraps were huge and tasty, packed with lots of healthy ingredients. They were so big that I ended up taking two leftover halves with me instead of buying another sandwich to go for the plane. The brisket sandwich on an onion roll was full of tender chunks of beef, caramelized onions, greens, and horseradish cheddar cheese - it was beyond delicious. We did save some room for dessert - a rich chocolate cookie and a marshmallow brownie for my daughter - both were great, and she returned to the counter for another marshmallow brownie to go - and a sweet, tart lemon bar for me. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. In addition to wraps, sandwiches, and salads, they have sushi on Wednesdays, too. The atmosphere was relaxing and there is free wifi. I'm looking forward to my next visit there.
