If you are looking for the finest in European accommodations in the United States, then look no further. The Sofitel provides the most discriminating and classy service that one might be accustomed to from a good night's rest to impeccable five star service by its staff. They go out of their way to please and extend themselves. Be pampered at least once! I was! You will feel like royalty!

Room Tip: Park your car here and go on foot to explore LA!

Very impressed with this hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean. Service is great, and the hotel public areas and lobby are very well laid out. The whole hotel had a very nice fragrance throughout, indicating a clean environment. The pool was on the small side, and had no view, but the water was warm and clean, and the swims were enjoyable. The location is right opposite the Beverly Center, and numerous restaurants and amenities nearby. The American breakfast was a letdown, with the eggs heavily flavoured with butter/margarine. It was off putting for both my wife and I. Overall, however, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel at the center downtown location. It's very close to get around everywhere and it's just across the shopping mall.

The rooms are great too. The bathroom switch are a bit weird and couldn't get everything to function. But overall a good room. Bed are a bit too soft. I prefer harder.

Would definitely stay again.

I booked a junior suite here (basically like a small 1-bedroom apartment but without a kitchen) for a business trip. The room was incredibly spacious and the hotel is in a great location- convenient to lots of things (W. Hollywood, Beverly Center, The Grove) without being in too congested an area. I was there for a week and the parking valets and I quickly learned each others' names. The concierge and check-in staff are friendly and attentive but not patronizing at all. The bath and shower are luxurious and the hotel definitely has a very upscale feel. Restaurant is excellent albeit very expensive. Great place to meet friends before going out. Beds are amazingly comfortable and rooms are well kept by the staff each day. My only complaint is the view from the suite was of a somewhat drab backroad. But that is a tiny complaint.

Room Tip: If I booked again I would try to get the other side of the hotel with the view of the hills.

After extensive research on TA we chose this hotel as we got a good online rate and the area was recommended for its more neighbourhood feel.
We were given a great LA welcome from the door staff and the reception guys were very professional and helpful in providing us with a great room that was high up and looked across to the Hollywood Hills.
The room was not particularly big but it was quirkily designed with unique pieces of furniture. We liked it, it was different to that regular international hotel decor. It was still practical with lots of storage, a chaise lounge so you could look out at the view, bathroom with everything working and the sound of the TV relayed in. We did note that the french window didnt close properly but this was fixed shortly after reporting it.
We didnt take their breakfeast option, you could opt for a buffet style but we didnt want to spend valuable time. They did have a fresh coffee station and you were welcome to get a takeaway drink for free each morning so we took advantage of this and then got something to eat on our travels.
The hotel has some great restaurants nearby, check out Dominiks and La Chaya plus many fast food eateries and other options on west 3rd. Also if you need to shop ( for clothes particularly ) the Beverley Center opposite has the big name stores plus many others.
Overall we liked our stay and would recommend you check it out.

Booked this hotel as part of a big holiday and day before picking up a cruise in LA. Hotel is situated in downtown Beverly Hills more of a commercial area. Hotel in on a busy road opposite a shopping mall, that is the only downside. What a lovely hotel, staff were excellent, room was small but perfectly formed, with beautiful ensuite, large walk in shower tiled in a way that there was a seating platform. Lovely complementary soaps and creams, beautiful towels, bathrobes and slippers. Large comfortable bed, chaise longue. Every part of the hotel was beautifully and tastefully decorated. We ate lunch on a gorgeous outdoor area, lunch was reasonably priced and although only soup and sandwich it was very tasty. Would definitely return.

Very flash looking lobby with black marble and glass. Staff from the start were incredibly friendly and knowledgable.
Easy check in process.
Room was very clean and welcoming. Bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Shower-fantastic!
Wifi was a bit temperamental in our room, perhaps just the area we were in.

Little bit of road noise but you are right in town. Windows do seem to have some sound proofing on them.

Gym was fantastic. Nod of the best equipped I've seen at a hotel. Pool and spa looked great (we didn't use it).

We had a late flight and while there was no ability off a late check out (extra $75 til 4pm or $150 til 6pm - hotel all booked up), we were able to use the spa change rooms and facilities. Not just your average change rooms though! Awesome shower, soaps, gels, hairspray, towels everything you could need.

15-20 min walk to the Old a Farmers Market and the upmarket The Grove.
