...it's still a Holiday Inn. The Luxe used to be a Holiday Inn, but it's proximity to the new "LA Live" area, which includes The Nokia Theater and Staples Center, saw it remodeled and refurbished. IMHO, they put lipstick on a pig. It has new furniture, fixtures and decor, but it still has narrow halls, the bathrooms are 1950-size closets, and it's still just a box with a bed in it. It certainly isn't worth the price that other nearby - and much newer - hotels charge. The ONLY thing it has going for it is its physical presence near LA Live.
