If you have a meeting near by its great but the rooms are dated and difficult to find electrical outlets. You have to search and crawl under furniture. Room service is terrible. There is not much around to eat at later in the evening so if you come in late like i did you have to rely on room service. Twice they could not get a simple cheeseburger correct. Fitness center is okay
Walls in rooms are paper thin so don't except a good night sleep. Connection to the internet was difficult and took a couple of calls.

Without a doubt, this is the best hotel in downtown Los Angeles. I stay at the Omni for business, and have tried other hotels in the area, but none of them can compare to the Omni. My company has a corporate rate with the Omni, the Sales Manager, Hyacinth, introduced me to their loyalty program - Select Guest. I thought the benefits were too good to be true! But they have not failed to deliver since I started staying there mid last year. I love the free coffee or juice in the morning! And the free pressing, wow! Very excellent!

Beautiful hotel accommodations. Loyalty members can get a "speedy" check in upon arrival. Rooms are large with designer bathroom ( granite, separate bath/shower). There is a small starbucks on the third floor near the lounge/restaurant thats convenient. The lounge has live music at night and was quite packed for a wednesday night. Definitely plan on returning here when I have business in LA. However, The hotel's Valet parking is a bit pricey - $40

One thing for sure, I will never stay in this hotel!!!! The software is fairly ok, but the front desk staff is atrocious! What the management needs to do is to change the entire lethargic and completely ignorant staff; The manager, I think his name was Robi or Robert or Robie was enormously unpleasant and perfectly oblivious about my concerns in regards to AC. The night before, I came down to talk to FD. It was 2am and I couldn't sleep because the room was freezing. The front desk agent was texting on the phone for almost a minute before even noticing me. But that was nothing to Robi who was supermely rude, the next day! How do these people get a job??? Stay away from these people!!!

$140-150 standard double/night

Pros
- Location is good. Near the financial district, 4min walk to Pershing Square Metro station. The hotel is located between 2 streets (Olive St is the main entrance, but you can enter from Grand St or even California plaza). 7min walk to the financial district and very close to Central Markets (on Hill st).
- Spacious and clean room. Sign up for Omni membership to get free wifi otherwise $10/day. Apparently you can also use the complementary sedan to get to places within 3miles of the hotel - I did not use this.
-Nice decor

Cons
- Reception Staff not overly helpful or welcoming.
- Apparently I should have received complementary morning beverage with my Omni membership but there was no form or anything to request this.

Overall a very nice hotel in the middle of downtown. Omni membership was suppose to make the experience more special but it was just another hotel membership.

Stayed one night while in town for a meeting. Have stayed at Omni hotels in the past (Chicago) and have always been impressed with the level of customer service provided, however the service at this Omni exceeded any previous stay.
Check-in was quick and friendly (not stuffy), and they met all my booking requirements. After unpacking we decided to look for a sushi bar nearby, the concierge was quick to recommend Takami Sushi and made reservations for us, when we asked for directions he insisted we use their towncar service (free) and we were immediately escorted to the car. The driver Eswin gave us his card and told us to call when we were ready to return. After a nice dinner we paid the tab and called, when we stepped off the elevator the car was waiting for us.
The next morning we met for a breakfast meeting at their restaurant Grand Cafe, which offered an excellent buffet.
We will stay here on return trips for business.

As a Loyalty member, my check in paperwork and keys were ready when I arrived. The front desk employee was very friendly. My king room was on the Club Floor, with access to a comfortable lounge with a hostess, snacks and drinks. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was served in the lounge. The breakfast offerings were somewhat limited. .My room faced the California Plaza and had a view of the Disney Concert Hall a block away. The room was spacious and nicely appointed. Internet is free for Loyalty members. The bathroom was quite spacious and had a separate shower and bathtub. I did not eat in the hotel restaurant so cannot comment on that. My friend and I walked across the street and ate at the California Pizza Kitchen, which is quite convenient. I plan to stay at the Omni on future visits to downtown Los Angeles.
