This place reminded me of the type of Motel you'd stay at a trip to the beach. Nothing really fancy but nice enough. We stayed in a King Pool view room which had a slightly blocked view of the pool but it was nice quite no road noise from Ventura Blvd. There was on DJ on Sat. which both my husband and really liked. Didn't eat in the cafe they have but it looked really cute. There is a Ralph's across street, so easy access to cheap eats. The shuttle is somewhat of a joke.

We stayed here to try to beat the heat, as they have a large swimming pool.
The pool area was very loud, like they are trying to create a party scene.
My children did enjoy the swimming, but did not enjoy the loud music and too many people everywhere.
The pool towels were gross, very hard to find a clean one.
The room was yucky smelling.
Bed was decently comfortable, but sheets had holes in them.

Yes, it is a bit dated, but the retro decor is fun and funky. The bed was heavenly! New down-like lite comforter and thick, soft pillows. The pool area is happening on weekends. It is close to everything and convenient. Best of all, as a woman traveling alone, I always felt safe there.
I was a bit put off by the $10.00 a night parking fee, but it seems to be common in the area.

This is an above average hotel. The staff is couteous and helpful. This is a very large property in LA. The rooms are oldish and the accessories are also old. Food taste was okay. The location is good. You have lots of options of restaurants outside like - Subway, Star Bucks, Big Mama's Pizza etc. Overall experience of staying for 1 & 1/2 days is nothing great.

Room Tip: If possible, get a room on the ground floor facing the swimming pool. Though noisy, it has good acce...

I made my reservation thru the hotels website and had the confirmation letter in my HAND on my ipad. We came all the way from NC, traveled all day only to be told "your reservation was cancelled". The unemotional, cold front desk person would not tell me how or why. I did not cancel it so who did. He offered me a smoking room but we have asthma so that is not a good thing. I mentioned that it did not appear they were booked solid since the large parking lots were empty. He said there were tour buses. I went back there to check after we found another hotel and ate dinner. NO BUSES at 9pm. I have to say that after seeing and smelling the lobby I did not regret not staying there. It smelled bad and looked really dirty and in disrepair. There is something wrong at this hotel. In case there is a need for my proof of this here is my confirmation # 136616503

Great location - close to everything. Hotel staff was friendly & helpful. The dining cafe was a nightmare. One day they were closed since the staff went on strike. Another day we were trying to get served at the poolside dining - had to call the mgr. to get served. Also, went for dinner one night & woman server threw menus down - & never came back for drink order or food - had to leave & go somewhere else to eat. Good place to stay - go somewhere else for food service!!!

Enjoyed our time at the poolside bar - bartender "Joe" was not only fun to talk with but he fixed a great drink. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by not only great food but friendly fun service!
