“Best Value for money for cruise travellers”
Reviewed 15 December 2013

hotel provides nice rooms, well equipped, good breakfast, convenient parking, and free shuttle to the cruise terminal
the staff is very friendly ,especially Roberto the front office manager
Hotel is conveniently located a fewminutes walk from shops and restaurants
A family dollar close by is very convenient
I had a big issue with Supershuttle where I forgot my carkey and thanks to the video surveillance of the hotel(and Roberto) I was able to identify the van number and claim my key to the shuttle company who first denied I was even dropped at the hotel!!!

Room Tip: rooms in the front are nicer with wiew but close to street with the traffic, if that bother you ask...

This Inn was clean, comfortable, and has the General Manager on site. They offer a full breakfast, and free transportation to the port. The area has lots of shopping and a huge dollar store 2 blocks toward the water that has everything you may need. We walked to ports of call and the cruise port the day before we left. There is a beautiful park there that most people miss because they are getting on or off the ship. Thank you Shiblee Ahmed for a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back are quieter

Did the "Stay and Park" deal for a cruise leaving out of the Port of Los Angeles. Arrived at the Vagabond the day before the cruise. Reservation was handled on the website and check in was a breeze. Hotel staff are friendly, helpful, polite, and professional. The General Manager is on site to handle and/or all situations that may arise and is extremely courteous and has instilled the same attitude among his staff. The room was clean and the bedding comfortable. The AC/Heater unit was awesome. Kept the room nicely chilled. Along with a night's lodging comes a week of parking while you are away enjoying your cruise. A room and supervised parking for a wwek. FREE SHUTTLE to the port for cruise departure. A great deal. Have stayed here four times previously and will continue to do so in the future.

Having morning coffee in the sun by the pool was GREAT. THe desk clerk when we checked in was charming. The room was adequate for the price. But there was only 2 sets of towels, tissue box was empty. There was no coffee maker, refer or micro oven. The bed for one person was comfortable but the bed for the other person was not. The bathroom is in need of some upgrading as the tiles and caulking are in pretty rough shape. There are some fast food restaurants, a Chinese place, a convenience store and liquor store all within walking distance. So all in all, it mostly met our needs for one night.

We stayed there one night because it was close to the crise port. It was in a very rough looking part of town. Lots of people hanging around outside etc. we did not feel comfortable there at all but did stay. We went to a fast food place to eat and back to room before dark. Did not go out till the next morning. Also way overpriced for the quality of the place and ok.

Centrally located. Room is clean and quite spacious with a a king bed, value for money. But a glass wall... Picture perfect when viewing the street but for sleeping..quite uncomfy for the psyche. Heavy curtains can be pulled to cover the glass pane. Attendants are accommodating. Continental breakfast in a separate room, not a dining area. Ice available all day. Good for backpackers or a short stay.

Room Tip: Request for a room nearest the front entrance and nearest the lift.

We stayed one night in our way to LA. It was clean, convenient, no luxuries but is not what you’re looking for here, with a reasonable price. Great location if you’re taking a boat to Catalina, either from San Pedro or from Long beach. It took us 10 minutes to reach Long Beach port.
