“still top notch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

Family owned, this remains one of the best sushi places in Los Angeles. The sushi chef here is old school--the freshest fish prepared with care and consistency. Prices are reasonable, particularly given the quality. The waitresses are the most attentive I have ever experienced. The place is small so make a reservation.

“Succulent Mouth-watering Chirashi”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2014

Had lunch here today. The chirashi sushi is their specialty. The sushi was fresh, delicious and succulent. What more can be said. One bite brought me back to Japan, where the quality of food is very high.

“If you're looking for Sushi in Little Tokyo, this is the place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2013 via mobile

This place is my favorite place in Little Tokyo whenever I want Chirashi, Sushi or Sashimi and here is why:
1- Parking is always available, cheap (free validation) and easy access at the mall.
2- Traditional style and always very fresh good quality fish, seafood & ingredients.
3- Reasonable prices, written clearly so no mistake nor surprises.
4- Same Japanese owner for many years with expert Japanese hands behind the counter (and super fast too), so quality is closely supervised.
5- Friendly staff

Do you need more...?
There are other items in their menu but I usually go for either one of the three above so I wouldn't know :(. But my guess is that you won't be disappointed ;)

Enjoy !!

fyi: I didn't wanted to write a review about this hidden gem so you won't find it and put me in a waiting list next time I go there during my lunch hour :(

But being selfish equals karma so there .... enjoy
(ーー;)

“Delicious chirashi”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 March 2013

This restaurant is known for its chirashi with a wonderful assortment of fresh fish cut in generous portions. The miso soup, pickled cabbage, and hijiki were also delicious. The large Japanese patronage is also indicative of authenticity and excellence.
