This has the charm of an older style hotel but with all facilities needed for a comfortable stay. It is a few minutes walk from UCLA and the Westwood Village with all its restaurants, basic shopping, the Hammer museum and cinemas. The stop for a commuter bus passing the Getty Center is a few minutes walk away. Highly recommended.

I stayed here while attending a conference at UCLA. Its good value for being close to the University and to shops and restaurants on Westwood.

The rooms are large, functional (plenty of electricity outlets) and decorated old style. Free wifi. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is bagels/muffins/cereal ,coffee, milk, nothing fancy and you have to eat it in the small lobby or take it to your room.

I was disappointed when I arrived this hotel. It appears old and small from outside and totally different from the photos onlline. The rooms are small but with good quality furnitures. The room I stayed has a small patio which was very nice. The staff was great and can't complain about anything.

I was horrified to find a water cap within sheets & hair on pillows. Sheets had NOT been changed. Called ft desk after maid changed them. Never heard bk frm Mgr. Yet to hear response to email sent 5 days ago. How can I recommend a place that doesn't take pride in their establishment &treatment of guests?

The rooms were comfortable, if a little old, and well priced and the laundry access was a definite plus.

As others have stated, this hotel is in a great location, can't be beat if your looking for something close to UCLA or the Wilshire District. Most of the reviews here seem to be in regards to the "main" hotel. We didn't stay in that part. Instead the hotel also has rooms located right next door in a combo hotel/apartment building. Be forewarned, if you stay in this part of the hotel the rooms are very, very small. The bathroom was tiny. Barely enough room to change clothes in. Small one sink counter. Shower only. And very dated (the wood cabinets in the bathroom were peeling). TV wasn't flat screen and channels were limited. But if you can look beyond the dated look of the room (worn carpet, old tile in bathroom), it was very clean. Beds were comfortable and staff was great. Great fan to block out any noise at night from adjoining rooms. Parking is tight. . Did see a few vans/smaller SUV's parked in the stalls but glad they weren't my car. Upside is that parking is free and if you drive a "normal" size car, you should be fine. Had muffins/donuts/coffee in lobby area in the morning. Fine for what we needed. Overall I would stay here again for the price and location for a couple of nights. There were 2 of us staying for one night and for that purpose, it was fine. Much better than staying at the "W", (which I have not had good experiences with) and much cheaper as well. . Overall worth it for a short stay if you are in this "other" part of the hotel. For longer stays, I recommend a room in the "main" hotel.

Excellent, central location for Los Angeles touring. Nice to walk around Westwood Village. Nice, quiet hotel. The continental breakfast is simple, but nice. We would definitely stay there again.
