We stayed for 3 days in the beginning of july. There had apparently been a error in the booking so our room wasn't there for us. They offered us another for the first night with a discount, which was ok. Staff was generally pretty helpful.
The hotel is not exactly new, but it's clean and everything works. There aren't many restaurants in the neighborhood, but there is a Starbucks and a McDonalds on the next street.
The pool is OK, although it's located so that it doesn't get any sun. The breakfast is pretty basic but it will get you started, although the breakfast room was very crowded at times.
All in all I guess it's what you can expect for the money we paid for a downtown LA hotel.More
