“Great beds!”
Reviewed 21 December 2009

The hotel is located about 3 blocks away from Rodeo drive, so it is a nice walking distance. We booked a tour, and the drop off location was Farmers Market, about 3.5 miles from the hotel. We did not want to use our car during the day in LA, as parking and traffic get really bad. So the hotel shuttle dropped us off at the Farmers Market (ask for Guillermo at the valet, he is very helpful). It is nice to get to the marker a little bit earlier then the tour start time. We walked around, did window shopping. Since it was around Christmas time, the area was really beautiful. After the tour was over, were dropped off at the same location. From there you can take bus number 217, it will take you all the way to Hollywood Boulevard ($1.25 one way, be prepared to have exact changes, these buses do not give change). From Hollywood Boulevard we took 217 again and then switched to bus 4 at Santa Monica Boulevard. That bus took us to Crescent stop, which is a 1 1/2 block from Rodeo Drive. We found taking buses much easier then driving in LA, although there are some weird people who ride those buses, so keep your belongings close.
The hotel does offfer ccomplimentary breakfast, as all Residence Inns do. Sat/Sun morning there were quite a number of people, but you can sit inside, in the lobby and outside.
Parking is $24, expensive, but is it LA.
Beds are the best of course, like with any Marriott. The hotel does not have a restaurant on property, but there have the menus of some restaurants in the area that will deliver right to your guest suite. We found it very convenient; after sitting in LA traffic for 4 hours, it was very pleasant to have the food delivered. Order from Famours Farmers (I think this is what they are called); excellent food, and you can actually charge to the guest room or pay cash,
No pool, just jacuzzi, but a big one; and a fitness center.
Staff was pleasant.
The room was had was quite small, studio with a queen bed and a sofa sleeper. Once you open up the sofa sleeper, not so much space in the room. But when you are visting for signtseeing, we did not really stay in the room much, so it was OKey.
Overall, nice hotel, good location. Heading back home you get right on I-10 (about 1.5 miles from the hotel), the freeway will take you anywhere.

This was a great value for a very large studio room with full kitchen, a pillow top bed, large flat screen tv and even a view of the LA city lights from our top floor corner room. We paid about $122 per night which was a great rate for this area. Free breakfast included cooked to order omelets, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles and all the other usual breakfast items. We used this as our base to visit Santa Monica pier (15 minutes away), Paramount Studios and Farmers Market (about 20 minutes) Rodeo Drive (10 minutes) and Graystone Mansion (10 minutes). Valet parking is the only parking option at $22 per night but it is super quick and convenient with easy in and out to surface streets. Staff was friendly and helpful with quick check in. Our top floor room was well insulated from the surrounding surface street traffic noise. An excellent choice if you want a nice large room but don't need the glitz of a high end Beverly Hills hotel.

Beautiful hotel in perfect location to travel all around Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, etc. Very nice staff, but most friendly and helpful was wonderful young woman at front desk who made great restaurant recommendations, and followed through with reservations and maps to them. I want to say her name was Kelly, but that may not be correct. We arrived on Nov. 2nd and checked out Nov. 3rd.
Really great free breakfast.

My partner and I stayed here whilst in LA and thought it was great value for money. The management and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. They really welcomed us from the minute we walked in the door. We had flown from Australia and were both very jet lagged, our room wasnt ready, which i didn't think it would be as it was only 8.30am in the morning. The Manager offered us complimentary breakfast and coffee and whilst we waited our room was prepared. Once we had got up to our room, we where suitable impressed, nice big hotel room, with kitchenette and a reasonable size bathroom. We would definitely stay in this hotel again. We highly rated it. Thanks Residence Inn, you helped make our holiday special.

Also the staff that worked at the Hertz rental car which is also located in the hotel were fantastic, thanks to Chima and Evette. They really looked after us.

This hotel has a good location in the city, but it is merely ok to me. The rooms are kinda smallish, but they are pretty nice. They have nice LCD type TV's, and a nice little kitchen. They are pretty small, however, for this kinda hotel. But, compared to an average hotel room they are pretty big. I got a really good rate on this one, but they only have valet parking, just so you know before you go. It is pretty nice overall, and I suggest that you eat at Tuk Tuk down the street for some casual thai food.

Stayed in a one bedroom suite here and it was fine. Floorplan was a bit strange - space could have been planned better. Very large full kitchen that I doubt most guests need, and tiny bath vanity, maybe 30" wide, outside the tub/toilet room - kind of crammed in front of the closet. Bed was comfortable, but not much room to walk around the bed. There was a real wall separating the bedroom so it could be closed off. Hotel staff all very good - front desk, bellman and valet. Valet fee $22 was high, but I think the norm in the area. I would have no problem staying here again.
