“The best hotel I have yet to stay in”

I have never felt the need to leave a review on trip advisor before but after our recent stay I felt compelled to.
Without a shadow of a doubt the finest hotel experience my wife and I have ever had, and that includes our honeymoon in a Middle Eastern resort that frequently tops many lists.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home and truly welcome. Every member of staff was friendly, personal and well informed (especially Daniel and Alex who guided us through the restaurant menu and our night out respectively)
The room itself was great and funky with an incredibly comfortable bed. The expandable bathroom was very useful and a great use of space.
The restaurants and bar were nothing short of stunning, I have no doubt Michelin stars will follow. The dozen quails eggs for breakfast was a definite highlight.
The pool deck is a wonderful place to hang out and see and be seen, with excellent views over LA.
We will certainly be returning, its just a question of time.
If you are considering a trip to LA, and fancy a luxurious stay worthy of the city itself, dont hesitate, book the SLS!

Surprised my wife with a trip to L.A. for a milestone birthday and thought i would splurge on a really swank five star. Swank it was, very trendy,upscale and service that was never ending. It didnt matter which employee you came across they were all very friendly and always willing to help. The valet staff were always very helpful as were the concierge staff. The rooftop pool is a great way to unwind and have a nice drink in the California sunshine. The rooms are very modern and are not your typical hotel room.
If you are looking for dinner plans we would strongly recommend the Gordon Ramsay at the London Hotel. What an amazing dining experience, the food and service were out of this world. When we go back to L.A. in december we will be dining here again for sure.
The only negative was the hotel does not provide free wifi for its guests, when your paying that much to stay somewhere it should be included.

Overall a really great hotel and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Thanks SLS for making this a great trip for us.

Great staff, spa was small, but nice. Non suites are not too big. Little light makes it hard to get dressed.

Cool bathrooms. Very open. Lobby was dark and boring.

My husband and I arrived at the SLS Hotel on April 8th, after a few days in Las Vegas. We were informed that our suite was not available, because the previous guests had not checked out on time, and it would be approximately a 2 to 3 hour wait, unless we wished to down grade to a smaller room, with only a queen size bed. As upsetting as this was, one look around at this gorgeous hotel made it hard to be angry. The lounge is so comfortable, with beautiful fireplaces, and nice lighting. We were seated by a super sweet young lady, Ingrid, and then we met Elmer. Elmer is so nice, recommended the best pastrami sandwich my husband and I have ever had in our life, and introduced us to our new favourite wine, Michaud ... Elmer is amazing. Then we met Autumn, the Outlets Manager, I have never met a more genuine, kind, and super helpful person, at any hotel, and I travel a lot. Autumn told me were to find anything and everything, I needed to make our trip perfect. We shared my husbands B day cake with everyone, that is how great the staff at the SLS is! We finally got to our suite, and Andrea was kind enough to offer us champagne, or wine to make up for the long wait ... The room was lovely, but my husband and I were not to happy with the lack of bathroom privacy, the sliding mirrors on either side of the toilet and sink, makes it feel as if the bathroom is in the middle of the living room and bedroom. Also I had requested a suite with a bathtub, the one we had reserved originally and never got, and even offered to pay more, we were told we could upgrade to what we originally reserved, on our second night, but never heard back after several requests ... Despite that, IT WAS GREAT! The breakfast and brunch are fantastic, Frank the driver, is great, and all the staff is just truly, the best. Thanks again to Elmer and Autumn, you are the best!

This hotel is best suited for uber-hipsters and/or people with noooooo regard for $50 breakfasts and mediocre pool-side salads for $45. The hotel's decor is quite brilliant, very unique and unique (did I already mention that?). But I felt the beauty was only skin-deep. A very puckered and strained front desk, who made you feel like they were doing you a favor to check you in. And if you have kids? You were sorta invisible. That set the pace for the entire visit. Rooms are modern and beautiful. Front desk notwithstanding, service was excellent at the lobby bar, as was breakfast service. But be forewarned, the prices for a cocktail and eggs over-easy are not for the faint of heart. In my opinion, you stay here to enjoy the outward beauty (although not for everyone) and the incredible interpretation of modern design. But beyond that, your date with the pretty girl gets boring (and expensive) quickly.

Stayed here for work. Hotel was very chic, service was excellent, exercise room was very good, and the breakfast was tasty if a bit expensive. The restaurant adjoining the hotel was jumping, even on a Monday evening. The wall to wall mirrors, even in the bathroom, was a bit over the top, but then again it is LA! Would definitely return.

Class A service in the heart of Beverly Hills. I only wished I had stayed longer. The room was spic and span. I love the elevators. Avery at the lobby bar was very friendly, but not in a chatty way. I definitely recommend this hotel, if you want to live the life.
