We had a great stop here at the end of our trip. The rooms were great, while not the flashiest, they were comfortable and clean and had great provisions for us. We had the two room kings and loved the space. We enjoyed being able to bring meals back to the room and to sit around the table. Breakfast was waffles, toast and cereals. It was perfect for us. A great location, close to the attractions of hollywood and the train, making it a fantastic spot to be. The staff were incredible, friendly and would provide any information on local attractions, easiest routes to get places etc.

Perfect location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to a mall with plenty of eating options. One block from the walk of fame. From the mall you can take pictures of the hollywood sign. I would come back.

We will definitely stay here again. Location is fantastic! The employees were helpful and attentive! The walk from parking to the front entrance is beautiful. We took time to smell the roses! Close to the Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood blvd. We had an amazing time!!

In my opinion there is no where else to stay if you want value for money and a fantastic location. We stayed for 3 nights and loved the deluxe 2 king suite. This gave us two separate rooms - one for mum and dad and one for the kids.
Parking our car was a breeze next door and to be so very close to all Hollywood has to offer was great. Staff were very friendly and able to assist with all tourist questions. Do yourself a favour and stay here, we loved it. We did not see a pool there.

Room Tip: Our room had noisy old air conditioners but by the time we went to bed we were too tired to care about the noise.

We were a family of 4 requiring 2 rooms for our 4 night stay in LA and did extensive research on which areas to stay. Since it was our first time and most of the tours departed from the Chinese Theatre, we decided to stay at the Hollywood Celebrity Hotel which was barely a 5 minute stroll away. Their rates were pretty decent for what we were getting. ( USD 169-189 a night)

I cannot say enough about the location of this hotel. Its right behind a mall ( Hollywood Highlands) which was right on the Hollywood Boulevard ( Walk of Fame) and is exactly where tours departed and the hop on/off stops. During some of our tours (Starline Tours main office is here), we realised that there were a few other tourists that had to take a shuttle first to the Chinese Theatre and then having to wait before the real tour departed which can be a little time consuming. Jimmy Kimmel Live records right opposite this mall and we even caught the movie 'Gravity' in the IMAX theatre right at the Chinese Theatre.

There was a supermarket ( Fresh and Easy) about 8 minutes walk away, a CVS pharmacy right beside it so there was no lack of necessities if we needed to get anything. The Walk of Fame was always bustling with Hollywood movie characters and street performances so there was never a dull moment. However, because the hotel was at the back of the mall, it doesn't get the noise as its on a very quiet street.

We booked 2 suites - a King bed suite and a 2 King bed suite. Both were super spacious complete with a dining area and a kitchenette. The rooms were clean and cosy albeit slightly dated in decor which didnt bother us at all. The rooms had air conditioning but their aircons were really old so it was a loud drumming motor noise when we switched it on. Fortunately it was pretty cool during the nights we were there so we didn't have to endure that noise during sleep. We got room 220 right at the back of the hotel which got the noise of the traffic ( and constant sirens) from the roads in the night. As it was cool enough, we just shut the windows when we slept which was fine.

If you didn't want to eat at the mall, there are plenty of choices along the boulevard. We even walked further out on La Brea to find more variety of food. Wifi was free in this hotel but reception was not consistent maybe because we were the room furthest away from the lobby. They served a nice continental breakfast in the mornings which you can pick and go on your way out or bring back to your room. There was also a gym and a steam room although we didn't see anyone making use of these facilities. Service was very pleasant and everyone always greeted with a smile.

We left for Las Vegas with Lux Bus which had the pick up point at Lowes Hotel which is right beside the hotel. If we returned to LA, we would probably stay near the Farmers Market to explore the other areas more. That said, this hotel is perfect for first timers planning to do the touristy stuff and not wanting to splurge on hotels.

Room Tip: Room 119 was a alot quieter with little traffic noise as it was on the inside of the hotel but this is a 2 King bed suite.
