I stayed for 4 nights while attending a medical conference at Loews hotel. The room is good, it has a little oven and a frigobar, iron, free wi-fi, cable tv, free breakfast (although the kitchen in too small, you gotta come early if you want to eat)

Location of hotel was close to restaurants and Hollywood Walk of Fame. The room we had was on the ground floor and like other reviewers, we still had to trudge up a few steps with our lugguage to get there. There is no trolley provided to assist us and the guy at the reception seemed to be more keen with his telephone call or computer than to assist us. The room we had smelled musky from lack of use. My husband actually had to go to the 7-11 across the road to get a room spray and we had to use the spray each time we come into room after that. Lighting in the room was quite dim too and we had paper or plastic cups. If you are thinking of having a coffee, better not make any yourself. Housekeeping was nothing to shout about, things that were dropped on the floor were not picked up. Security can be improved too as we had someone trying to get into our room.

Breakfast was a suprise as we expected only bread with jam and butter plus coffee or tea. But there were juices, waffles, cereals and fruits available. The breakfast room was small and those who came last minute had to take their food back to their rooms as some inconsiderate guests were hoarding the tables.

We stayed one night in this hotel. Location is fine if you to be near Hollywood area. It's really far from beaches, though. Our room was clean. We had 2 queen beds. Sleeping quality was fine, except morning, it was too loud. The hotel has a pool and also provides breakfasts. We didn't try the pool, but had a breakfast, which was rather bad then good. Also they provide underground parking. In general, it is fine to stay couple days there, but not more.

The Quality Inn is poorly named. The walls and doors are paper thin so you coudl hear verything going on in the hotel, even people on the ground floor sitting beside the pool talking quiatly when our roo was on the second floor. Our room was at the top of the stairs so everyone ragging their luggage up the stairs was very noisy, and many guests (almost everyone we met there was Russian) showed little consideration by keeping quiet. Breakfast was terrible- only three tables so we were told to get the food and take it back to our room. The food was either stale cereal or tasteless waffles, we only ate there twice in the six days we stayed there. There are plenty of chain restaurants within 5 minutes walk, and Hollywood and it's depressing lights are only a few minutes walk away, so the location is very good. Staff were friendly and helpful but overall it was a disapponting experience. There is a coin laundry across the road.

Room Tip: Get a room as far away from the stairs as possible.

This hotel is about a ten-minute walk to Grauman's Chinese Theatre and to the Red line Metro which is veryconvenient. We arrived at Los Angeles Airport and took the FlyAway bus to Union Station. After touring the Downtown area-- El Pueblo, Little Tokyo, the Bradbury Building, the Walt Disney Concert Hall-we walked to the Red Line Metro station "Civic Center" and took it to the station "Hollywood/Highland," which is very near the hotel. Please note that it is a good idea to buy a Metro TAP card at Union Station. We bought a 7-day unlimited one ($21.00) You can also pay exact change ($1.50,but you usually need 2 buses and there are no free transfers). The train, however, does not take you to many other tourist sites. Instead we used buses which are again conveniently located a half-block from this hotel. Although sometimes we had to wait a little longer than we would have liked for a Los Angeles bus, we were able to go pretty much everywhere. See the Los Angeles Metro website for directions. In fact, we found it preferable to being stuck in traffic and looking for parking. Upon leaving Los Angeles for San Diego, we rented a car from Avis to which we took the Red Line and Purple line. Again this location turned out to be convenient.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor, and even though the street was busy we had no trouble sleeping.
