Before I start with the hotel, I must say the helpers there behind the desk were really nice and helpful!
Parking here was a nightmare. Mainly if you do something in the evening then come back, like a Dodger baseball game.
Wasn't very clean, kind of run down. Old dirty carpet, poor condition of the tile in the bathroom, a/c didn't work well, in either room. Nice tv and dresser and bathroom counters were nice.
Rooms are loud from surrounding guests. If you are not on top floor, you hear everything from everyone up stairs..late at night and early morning...even after changing rooms we could not get a top floor room. 2nd night was a little quieter as it didn't sound like the Olympic gymnastics were taking place on top of us.
Breakfast room was small, hot and very crowded. Ate at the Denny down the street the 2nd morning. A ton of foreign guests, which was nice to see, but not everyone is courteous. Food selection was not great...Luke warm instead of hot and ran out of food items.
I don't like to leave poor reviews, but this was only good enough for 1 visit.
Wifi was in and out, so could get much done on it.
Only 1 elevator, same one used by room cleaning staff...slow moving.
After the poor 1st night, Jon at the front desk was polite and quickly found us another room for the next evening, but wasn't much better for a good night sleep.

Room Tip: Get a top floor room! Don't have high expectations!

Dear Mr. Hodges,

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our property. First of all I want to thank you for commending our staff. We have worked hard lately to improve our customer service.

I am terribly sorry you had a less than perfect stay. I know that when we are sold out parking can be a challenge. You should have been informed about our second parking area which is usually empty.

I would also like to apologize for the perception of our property being run down and dirty carpets. We are in the process of deep cleaning all of our guest rooms and public areas. Hopefully if you will give us another chance in the future, we can show you the improvements we are making.

Thank you again,

I have stayed at this property before, and I have never had any problems. The hotel is a little bit older, but I believe it is just old enough to have had worked most of the "kinks" out. The room I stayed in was spacious, well lit, very clean(would give housekeeping an A+), had extended movie and channel selections, an in-room coffee maker, a microwave and fridge, and everything was in great working order. The carpet, drapes, and room decor are current and the shower has a nice massage unit with various settings. They offer an in-room whirlpool/jacuzzi suite for a little more cost. The bed is a quilted comfort top, and sleeps GREAT! The tvs are larger and flat screen. They also offer a free hot breakfast with the room which includes eggs, sausage, yogurt, and many other choices.

The hotel is located adjacent to the Metro Bus and Train. So, if you are visiting and need to get around L.A. it's perfect for easy on/off transportation, There are many restaraunts near the hotel, and the front desk has great, working knowledge of directions, maps, and menus for the restaraunts that deliver.

One thing I would like to stress is the knowledgeable and friendly Management/ Staff. Usually the attitude of management trinkles down to the front line staff, and I believe this is definitely the case in this hotel. The husband and wife management team(Peter Ahir and Mrs. Ahir) are two of the friendliest management individuals I have met in some time. Somethings in life are not trainable. They demonstrate a genuine trait of kindness and care for the hospitality business and travellers overall. In turn, their employees overall express the same. Especially the breakfast hostess and front desk staff. Including the young man who works relief 7-3pm and Paul, 3-11 pm clerk.

I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends,co-workers, and family. It definitely has the guest needs/ necessities in mind overall. Thanks for the great stay. cc: Choice Hotels

We stayed here in August of 2013- this was the first trip to LA for many of us (we had 13). Hotel smelled bad, floors were covered in stains. We were on the 1st floor and the door to the outside stayed open all night, yes they had a security gate- but people could still get in!
Never again!

Room Tip: Would not use if you have kids- no pool Good point AC worked very well

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am concerned that this review just came now when you actually stayed a year ago. We are truly sorry you did not have a wonderful stay with us last August. Please know that over the past year we have changed many things in the hotel, including ensuring that the gate to the back parking area remains closed at all times. We do have cameras monitoring all entrances of the hotel and parking.

We hope that you will give us another chance to WOW you should you return to Los Angeles. i will be happy to take care of you personally.

Hotel was conveniently off the freeway, although you gotta keep an eye out or you'll miss it (signage not very big).. Parking is a bit cramped, but its secure... Hotel staff was attentive.. I got there a bit early and was still able to check in. Unfortunately the room hadn't been cleaned yet, so I was upgraded to another room.

Try to get an indoor room. There are some rooms that lead out an "outdoor" area, under the 20's room numbers.. There's a spa tub in the room, so prep yourself with some soaps to relax.

They try to keep the hotels clean as evident by the steam cleaner who was there when I arrived.

It a hotel I will definitely consider when Im back in that area..

Room Tip: any floor good.. try for rooms under the 20's...

The rooms are nice and the beds are great. They are remodeling and our room still needed a few things like carpet that had old nail polish on it. Their breakfast was great. They had bagels, Danish, cereal, scrambled eggs and sausage patties. Parking is tight, as they tandem park and the pool was very cold and the kids chose not to swim that evening.

We got 6 nights for the price of 5 here. Our room was huge, with a fridge and microwave. Spotlessly clean. Reception staff were very helpful, breakfast was lovely. Good that we could use their computer and also load an I pad charger as I had forgotton ours. Easy parking in the car park, with entrance to lift by room card.

There isn't much around the hotel as in 'attractions' but there are food outlets and supermarkets within walking distance, and anywhere you want to go in LA, you have to use your car anyway.

To have stayed nearer Hollywood blvd would have cost us a lot more.

The hotel was good but the location was a bit dicey, luckily we had a car (which is a necessity in LA) so we drove everywhere! It's in a good location in relation to some big attractions and the freeways!
