The views are amazing from everywhere in the property. I love how you can hear the waves crash on the beach just below your balcony. The service is excellent! Everyone is very helpful and accommodating.

Room Tip: They all have views out over the water

We had brunch here one beautiful Sunday morning, and could have lingered forever.
Service was excellent, the food tasty and plentiful. The view is fantastic as well.
Can't remember what we ate, but we were all very satisfied with our selections.

I stayed here for one very short night before heading to an event. I was greeted by a friendly valet who greeted me by name and showed me to the front desk.

I was then directed to my room, which was well appointed and had a great balcony with views of the beach and pier.

The room was clean, bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. I really loved the Molton Brown products that were provided.

I also ordered room service for dinner, which was very good. Then, I enjoyed breakfast on the deck overlooking the beach. Absolute beauty.

I would recommend this hotel to a couple, or family.

Room Tip: Try to get a view of the ocean

Hotel is right by the ocean, you couldn't be any closer. Beautiful location, rooms are small but luxurious, amenities are very good. Reception area and restaurant are attractive, the restaurant patio is gorgeous and the food exceptional. Valet service was good, as was the reception. As other people have stated, the rooms are overpriced, but this is Malibu! I would recommend a stay here though, as listening to the waves crashing is so therapeutic.

Now for what you don't expect. For the cost of the room you would think the toilet would work, but for the two nights we stayed it would not flush down toilet tissue. We asked twice for it to be fixed and it was to a point, but still toilet tissue was a problem. It's a bit much when you have to use the washroom in reception rather than in your own room.

The other disappointment was the restaurant service. Apart from breakfast the first morning when we had a lovely server, the service was poor. Dining next to the ocean is a treat, but at dinner that evening after we had eaten our entree and ordered desert, we never saw our server again. Or the deserts for quite a while. I suspect someone eventually saw two deserts in the kitchen and thought to bring them out. Not our original server either. The restaurant wasn't busy at all so that wasn't the problem, just lack of interest I guess. We also had to go to reception to ask for the bill or we would still be sitting there now. There appeared to be either a manager or such in the restaurant, a very unfriendly person, who printed out the bill but didn't even look at us. Breakfast the next morning also saw some offhand service, the first server never returned, but the second one was very nice, Thank goodness for the location of the patio or they wouldn't have any customers.

Still, despite this, I would recommend this hotel as it is beautiful, and those waves are tremendous!

My family and I were in Malibu fo a wedidng in the hills. Personally I'm not a fan of over priced hotels, but if you know Malibu at all you know that there are not many hotels in the area. Lots of rentals for vacation but very few hotels.

For a couple, this would be a nice plce but extremly overpriced. For a family of five, horrible!!!! When I'm already spending 600 a night to stay there for three nights, the least you could do is not charge me 3 bucks for a 16 oz water.

Still, being the only hotel in the area, the cleanliness is top notch. The service at the hotel was second to known (in that area). The beach was minimal, very cramped on sat morning. The hotel only has about 100yds af beach front that is the before the public land starts. Its not the place to look for private time on the beach. Its more for romantic night with the wife listening to the waves on the balcony.

The rooms were basic, nothing great! Again, in my opinion for 600 a night my kids should at least have one childrens channel on the cable versus me having to pay 9.99 A DAY for a set of shows they can only watch until the clock strikes 12

Room Tip: if you have children under be sure to grab a double queen room. It will open up space to allow for m...

This hotel was excellent. We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was amazing. The bed was really comfortable, the room had a fireplace. The balcony was right over the beach so the sea view was spectacular. We slept both nights with tho door open so we could hear the waves.
The staff were very friendly. The restaurant was brilliant. We sat right over the sea. The food was excellent as was the service. The girl behind the bar makes very nice cocktails too (especially a White Russian). The valet guys were also super friendly and helped carry our mountain of bags up to our room. We would love to stay here again.
